Judging by the interviews he just gave at the owner's meeting and maybe every interview McCarthy has had since he took the job, the Steelers future offense will not include Mason Rudolph. We are now getting into the whole "He Who Must Not Be Named" territory with Mason this offseason. Who was the last Coach, or staff member to say his name???

Funny, If I was Mason, I would be looking for a month-to-month lease. :)

It is crazy, that Mike McCarthy openly talked about the future of this team being Aaron Rodgers, Will Howard, or maybe even a Draft pick this year. Never mentioning "He Who Must Not Be Named".

MM always talking multiple plays at the LOS and having a intelligent QB knowing how and when to get into the best play..Mason has problems with the simple opposite call on a running play .. He has problems with 2 guys in the A gap blitzing he sends the RB to help seal the edge..I could go on , but MM has seen it on tape and Mason has no chance to make this Team...

If they do not draft a QB Mason will be on the team

If they do draft one depending on how high he is drafted and how well he plays in camp and preseason Mason may not

Fair enough , but I fully expect a round 3 QB and that QB beats Mason out easily .. Or we still could sign another Vet who is great with film study and multiple play capable QB Mason is just a bad fit , he was thought of as a system QB , not what MM wants..

He wants a multiple guy he said so and he never mentions Mason as a possible starter a good mentor or anything , Mason is as good as gone ..

    https://steelersdepot.com/2026/03/i...ve-drafted-will-howard-sooner-than-6th-round/

What he thinks about Howard how he would have drafted him higher and the big takes..
How Will needs to work on his footwork and how AR has started helping him with that..
On his 2 minute drill and how another year with AR could be good for him..

Another common theme no mention of Mason and what he is or could bring to the table .. Mason should get a jump start and start packing himself he can save a lot of dough ...
