i think PF's lack of production, pre-arthur smith, is directly correlated to matt canada's idiocy as a OC and mike tomlin's penchant for misusing players on a regular basis... not just misusing them but also misplacing them. he was forever placing players in positions they were not really meant to be in.

as for last year, i believe PF's lack of production was arthur smith's stiffy for jonnu smith. we all know jonnu smith wasn't a blocking TE so he was supposed to be this great receiving option...except he wasn't. had PF been used in place of jonnu i am sure PF's production would have been vastly different.

It took A Smith 14 weeks to realize his mistake. Good riddance...

I make up nothing. You have difficulty separating facts from opinions.

What facts did I say which are false? Calling you out. If you can name any, your memory is not so good or I did not say any.

Let’s start with when you claimed Tomlin did not have a computer

    No need to respond

I say this because the man did not have a pc or smart devices in the war room for draft day photos yet nearly everyone else did! He must have followed it all in his head.

Do have any photos that show he did ( proof ). No? Just shut your pie hole until you do.

The man seldom did 1 on 1 interviews. In fact I can recall none.

Are you glad he left the Steelers?

You are making assumptions without seeing what McCarthy's offense is going to look like. He doesn't have the depth at receiver that he might like and he doesn't have a fullback. He does have two starting-caliber tight ends, so I imagine he will be smart enough to adapt to that.

Maybe or he might want to spread it out ? As I stated I have no doubt we are getting a WR early ,I think we will move up in the 1st. actually .. I also think he will pick up another seasoned WR before camp starts .. AR can still throw it very well , but he can't move anymore ..He had to throw it in the dirt because guys couldn't get open fast enough ..

The best part of AR'S game is his mind and pre snap ability , he knows as much or more than most DC'S he faces him and MM will desire to out smart out Coach and win the chess match of Football... Making the Defense spread out is a huge advantage with a smart OC and a field general ..

Will they run some tight sets ? Of course ..Will they run some Jumbo packages ? of course ..They will probably run a little of everything , but getting in the Gun with multiple fast guys to throw to will be the hill the Team will live and die on..As I stated on the other thread they already have a 2 man combo they use and swing the outside guy in that triangle to leverage weak spots on the field..

Can they Flex our TE''S into some of those spots sometime I hope so , but we will see a lot less tight sets than we have been seeing ..I have zero doubt in that ..

I keep hearing how McCarthy is this super offensive genius, and I pray He is, but I still can't figure out how a offense genius can have a 4 time MVP at Qb , and only make one SB. Seems strange to me.
Anyone that wants to take Washington off the field needs their heads checked. LoL

A quick look has MM at around 26 points per game and Tomlin at 19 .. I remember GB having a fairly bad Defense and the Steelers having a fairly good Defense .. MM knows how to score so if the Defense can be solid I think he can make a run.. As far as the Cowboys no one can really run that Team to much interference

I actually want him on the field more as to add to total Team value , but if he doesn't fit then you have to do what's best to score more often..I would trade PF and make Washington #1 , but if we keep both and they Favor PF because of what they paid him sadly Washington's snaps will take the hit..

I don't see Washington having a long career, coming out of the draft they said his knees raised all sorts of red flags ... He is a nice player to have for blocking and a nice second TE, but he isn't a guy to build an offense around.

Maybe he has better training and conditioning in the NFL? His blocking ability is why I would want him as #1 , he instantly makes the run game better ,I watched a breakdown of a game and he made every single block and on some plays he blocked 2 and 3 guys..

Is why if he can pass protect it would be great for him to be on the line, he could then help on every single running play ..

Tomlin just one SB with Ben. You walked right into that one :lolol:

And don’t even follow up with he went to two, its well know that winning a SB is the measure of success with you ;)

Kidding aside, Id be surprised if MM’s offenses werent ranked highly which is what you would look to for measuring his worth as an offensive mind.

No WR is worth moving up for in Rd1 in this deep class.

Agree. MM has a sketchy history of building strong defenses.

I don't see why we can't have 2-TE sets? Have them both on the field.

The only time he also had a great defense was the year when he won the SB ... If Steelers get their act together, they can be a great defense. The talent is there.

One coached only HOF Qbs, and Dak, and the other coached a HOF Qb, Fields/Old Watson/Old Rodgers/Pickett/Trubisky, and Mason, and won with all of them. Of freaking course the points scored would be different. I would love to see how many games won, and points scored with those Qbs McCarthy would have had.

Again. How high would McCarthy offense ranked with Pickett, Trubisky, Old Wilson, Old Rodgers, Mason, and Duck???
Hell how many games would he even have won.
I hope I'm freaking totally wrong, but with a Qb that won multiple MVPs, and won MVP even when McCarthy was gone, and fired, he went to one SB. One.

Name me a SB winning team that had a suck a$$ D. I'm sure they are out there, but I bet there isn't many. So it makes no sense to do it that way in my opinion.

I might be misremembering but I thought the year Eli won the SB the Giants weren't great on defense.

Hmm. Which one? He won 2. Also, I know there are some out there, but it's few. My things is , you can paddle up stream, but why?? Just to look cool??
Hey we lost, but dang we scored a lot.
We just watched Joe Burrow two years ago(was it two , or 3) throw for more yards, and TDs than any Qb in the NFL that year, and tied the most td scored overall, and they missed the playoffs , while we went 10-7, and made the playoffs with Fields, and Old Wilson.

I think we will get to see 2 seasons with old Rodgers ,so we will see..Plus Coach T and the Team had a chance to focus more on offense and they didn't when they did they not do so good.. Old Rodgers is the best they have had since Ben..lol
