Do we call it for Fano to get this draft moving again?

I called it. I was waiting for @Blast Furnace@Blast Furnace to do the honors, but in the interest in getting this thing moving again.....

Dan Rooney liked this pick so much he photobombed my AI image. Lol

If Fano is as advertised by the “experts,” he would at least be a solid option at LG. The apparent fact that his arms are still growing means he may have starting T upside as well.

Fano is an interesting prospect, but it's hard to see him as a starting OT in the NFL unless he's got a really solid supporting cast and it's a fast zone scheme.

From what I've been reading about him he would be an average to above average OT but be an excellent OG.

We are coming up in a couple of picks so I thought I would mention some ILB's that are available as of now. Jake Golday from Cincinnati and Jake Rodriguez from Texas Tech.

Round 2 is usually our 'splash' pick. I don't see a RB here, but maybe a WR/TE receiving option? MM seems to really like his linemen early as well. Maybe defensive front 7? I got no ideas on names yet.

I can't decide between McNeil-Warren, Chris Bell, or Jacob Rodriguez. The Steelers signed 2 safeties in free agency. Bell is coming off a major injury and isn't the slot WR the Steelers need, but when his knee is healed, he will be as good as the top 3 wide receivers, Tate, Tyson, and Lemon. If the d-line does its job, I like Rodriguez.

I feel like the Steelers have to go WR here. There are still some good options in round 2, but none of those options will be available in round 3.

I would go with either Chris Bell, Germie Bernard, Antonio Williams, or Skyler Bell with this next pick.

I don’t think the Steelers have to go WR here. There are other positions where the right rookie can contribute right away and be a key cog for years.

I am voting for Keionte Scott from Miami, a guy who has excelled at the nickel in college (wouldn’t require a change from outside corner). To me his play around the LOS is like Mike Hilton at his peak, but he’s much better in coverage. College fans may remember his Pick 6 vs. Ohio State that keyed Miami’s upset win in the CFP.

There will likely be capable slot WRs available later, but a ready made impact nickel corner likely won’t be.

As we are close to the Steelers pick, my official 2nd rd vote is for Wash. CB Tacario Davis

What are your thoughts on ILB Josiah Trotter 20 year old Sophomore. Dad was a 12 year vet, and brother is currently playing with the Eagles.

Injured his knee the last game of the season, so currently he is doing no running at the Combine or Pro Day. I don't understand why he would not use his family and NIL money to stay in school another year and go as a 1st round pick in 2027.

Josiah is a hitter / run stopper, something that Payton Wilson is not.

He is definitely a hitter. Trotter also excels at blowing up lead blockers to allow others to make the tackle. 2 concerns are injuries and he's not great in coverage. But when we face a run heavy team like the Ravens he can definitely be an upgrade in stopping the run.

    Metcalf
    Pittman
    Roman Wilson

I'm sorry guys. To not draft a receiver here would be absolutely bonkers. Keep in mind that Pittman has durability issues.

I officially vote for Germie Bernard, WR, ALABAMA

Still some quality WR's left even though 8 have been taken. Brenen Thompson from Mississippi State ran a 4.26 at the combine. 7 of his 10 TD's were over 42 yards, even though he is a one trick pony that one trick is being able to blow past everyone else on the field.
Antonio Williams is a smooth route runner with good speed from Clemson but has had 2 of his 4 years there end early from injuries.
Chris Bell from Louisville could eventually be a very good NFL WR but tore his ACL at the end of last season and his availability this coming year is in doubt. Notre Dame's Malachi Fields is a big WR but only ran a 4.62 forty and we have Germie Bernard from Alabama. If Aaron Rodgers comes back this year then he would love Germie, he runs crisp precise routes and most importantly the QB always knows where he is going to be on a pass pattern. I'll hold off for a little while to see where the voting is going because I still like Safety Emmanuel McNeil Warren from Toledo and ILB Jake Rodriguez from Texas Tech.

    Some names to think about.

ILB big need and this guy is a baller

This guy should be getting a lot more attention than he is

This would be a pretty damn good TE room

Love the TE ELI Stowers, I tried to talk myself into taking him at #30 for Denver.

Does anyone know why Fields did not run at his Pro Day. After bombing the NFL Combine 40 with a 4.61, he promised he would run it faster at his Pro Day.

Stowers should have no trouble high pointing the catch, he high jumped over 7 feet in HS. If it wasn't for being in the same draft class as Sadiq, Stowers would have been easily the best TE in the draft.

I too will get on board with WR Germie Bernard as he looks like a Route-Running Demon, something MetCalf and Pittman are not.

Steelers are stuck with Muth for another year, and with Washington getting the blocking snaps, I just don't see a 3rd TE getting many throws with Mike McCarthy's offense.
