This is a public service announcement for any members who Bowl.

HBO/MAX has a series called, "BORN TO BOWL". It is I believe a 5 part series focused on 5 top Bowlers.

I am not a Bowler. Probably only went 3-4 times in my life. Ball way to heavy for me. New place opened by me and it was strange. The Pins were on strings. The guys I know into Bowling say the pins on a string suck.

Haven't followed bowling since the Earl Anthony/Dick Webber days. Growing up in Pgh they the had smaller "Duck Pin" balls/pins as well as the larger "10 Pin" balls/pins. Duck Pin balls were about the size of a large softball and the pins perhaps half the size of 10 Pins. I'd think it may have spread to the east in your area and still available. My 80 year old sister just went Duck Pin bowling this past Saturday way up in the Tacoma WA area.

As a youngster I was a duck pin setter for the little old ladies. Had to do two lanes at once and I messed it up a lot. They yelled up the lanes at me all the time but that 2-3 dollars I made a night was big money.
