    I do not disagree.

I am all for turning the keys over to Will Howard. I would have seriously considered doing it last year if I was running the show.

Davis Mills backs up CJ Stroud with the Texans. I think the Texans may have been playing for a chance to go to the Super Bowl if Mills had played instead of Stroud.

No, I'm not kidding. While Stroud was out for three games, Mills came in and went 3-0 as the starter and really looked good doing it. It kind of got the Texans' season going.

In my opinion, Mills is a better quarterback than Rudolph. He played quarterback at Stanford, so he's a really smart guy. Mills is still only 27-years-old. He has shown that he can be a pretty good player and has looked like one when he has had a chance to start.

He doesn’t even use the correct arm to signal a first down, and people think he would be a good referee?

    You won't.
I've always said this, and I will always believe this, and yes their have been exceptions to the rule, but I believe coaching can get You to the playoffs, but a Qb , and a bit of luck is what takes You beyond.

    LoL.
What you are not saying is Justin Fields has had under 3000 yards if You add his last two years together. LoL
    Also
You can make the same picture with Najee/Warren, and Warren/Gainwell.

Except Rodgers threw more TDs than Wilson/Fields combined and didn't blow the division lead.

I just have to start wondering when is it going to be time to Start Kicking the Tires on Derek Carr? Still only 34 after sitting out the entire 2025 season, because of his injury in 2024.

in 2024 he seemed to be at the top of his game before the injury. 15 Tds with 5 Ints, and a 101.0 QB Rating

The ravens were also much better in 2024 that 2025.....12-5 in 2024 vs 8-9 in 2025.10-7 would been also enough to win the afc north in 2024.The schedule was also tougher in 2024 for the steelers.

It's either got a QB, or need a QB. Either way, it shows.

The Steelers are not going into the season with Rudolph/Howard as the only two options as the starter

I think anyone who has been following football realizes that would be foolish

They will want an established vet incase Rudolph/Howard is a failure

This would lean me to thinking the will get someone who is willing to start or backup

That is why there is nothing moving with Rodgers

Unless they draft a QB and they/Rodgers might want Rodgers to start for a while and mentor

Therefore it’s possible nothing will happen until after the draft

A guy like Flacco is just waiting

The Steelers would be a great place for him to go so right now he will wait and see

If not the Steelers then he will go elsewhere

You make more excuses for teams like the Ravens and Patriots than you do for the Steelers . Part of the reason why the Ravens were 8-9 in 2025 because they got swept by the Steelers.

Probably the best way to keep Flacco from beating us

Carr wouldnt be the worst move in the world. If the goal is to be competitive while giving Howard time to develop it would make sense and he probably offers more upside than anyone else they could bring in to be a bridge. I think all he has ever played in has been west coast style offenses. He would fit in with MM.

    I wouldnt hate it.

A name you won't hear talked about much but one that had top ratings in some of the advanced analytics for QBs that I was looking over. I admit I know nothing about him other than he is projected as a 7th round pick. But he has some very good EPA metrics on short, medium and deep throws ranking 2nd or 3rd in the class. His EPA/dropback is 3rd in the class. He has the second best rating against zone coverage, 6th best against man in this class. He has the second best rating when pressured.

    Joe Fagnano

Why is he not ranked higher on boards? No clue. Someone that follows UConn might know something. Quality of competition?

If it would been a split like in 2024 the ravens would been 9-8,still 3 game worse that 2024 for them

Why this is a excuse?...I never said the ravens were a good team in 2025.The steelers were about the same team in term of result that 2024 or 2023 or 2022 or 2021,etc....a 9-8 or 10-8 team. This is a fact

I said this mid season of last year
    Was joking at first
    But
    This really might happen
But since Tomlin is gone the chances are slimmer
Tomlin had a qb crush on Flacco
Just like he has on Arod

I’ve been to all but one of his home games at UCONN in person. He really lacks traits, and while he generally makes good decisions with the ball, he often struggles to deliver it where it needs to be when big plays are available. He benefited greatly from Skyler Bell being a mismatch for just about anyone trying to cover him. I’m not saying he’s not good, but he was more “college good” than NFL good.

There was no QB I was ever more sure of that would fail at the NFL level than Manziel. Crazy that people thought he could be a franchise QB.
