You remember every carry of Pegram's career as a Steeler well enough to be sure he never gave ground to try to gain more and got caught? Yeah, I'm not buying that.

Just admit it. You got so caught up in your disdain for Harris that you made a bad point.

This is a distraction. Now that I have given you real information to counter your inaccurate memories, answer the question again. Who was the better back as a Steeler? Najee Harris or Erric Pegram?

 

Pegram. He made it to a Super Bowl, while Harris was always one and done when he made the playoffs.

 

So, by your logic, Trent Dilfer was a better NFL quarterback than Dan Fouts. Sure, Fouts is in the Hall of Fame, but Dilfer even won a Super Bowl.

Care to try again? Perhaps stop deflecting and defer to the superior argument this time.

Dan Fouts never won a Super Bowl. Dan Marino never won a Super Bowl. Barry Sanders never won a Super Bowl. Randy Moss never won a Super Bowl.... I could go on and on. So?

Harris ran for more yards with a better average per carry despite Pegram having the advantage of a better passing game and a stronger offensive line than Harris ever had, but your feelings don't agree. lol

 

That to say a team of 53 men, 22 starters isn't a team. If You can't play a football game with 22 starters, why do people keep bringing up the number. Hell to enable you to play just 22 of the same people a whole game , you couldn't even change into certain different formations.

That is part of the problem in these discussions. Some fans grade these guys on a curve. If you want to compare Willie Parker and Rashard Mendenhall, the fact that Mendenhall was a first-round pick is irrelevant. Parker wasn't better because he was a UDFA. He was simply better.
