I was fortunate to see Terry right from the beginning. He had his struggles for a couple years, but you could see the incredible arm strength and his athleticism. Once he found himself, it was a thing of beauty watching him play in big games. He threw the best deep ball ever. I remember all those great super bowl performances, and yet the thing I probably think about the most with Terry was watching him in his final game. He had a terrible arm injury, but the team needed him to play. They needed the win against the Jets to make the playoffs. Terry was at a point in his career where he had it all figured out. His arm was banged up, but he simply knew exactly what to do on the field and was able to complete a couple touchdown passes with a bum arm. On the second TD throw he grabbed his arm after the throw, and I felt like I had just seen him throw his last pass as a Steeler. It was such so sad knowing that. We later found out that it was official, and Terry was retiring. They beat the Jets that day, but it was the end of something for many of us that had seen his entire career and four Super Bowl victories.

I now think about how long we had to wait from the time Terry retired to the first time we saw Ben enter a football game.

I've never seen anybody play the position the way Ben did. You touched on the aspects of his game that were impossible to forget. It was something to behold.

I'm glad you got to see him play and I hope you get to see the next great Steelers quarterback very soon, as do I.

    That's awesome!

I wish I got to see our boys in the 70s. Must have been amazing to have lived through.

I also think it would be good if the NFL was still structures so that young QBs had time to develop like they did back then.

I don’t think a Steeler coach who won a SB is allowed to coach for another team.

Seriously though, I think the Rooney’s spoil their coaches and they wouldn’t feel right working for another organization.

Who would want to coach somewhere else knowing they have to rent instead of buy because the organization has gone through 8 coaches during your tenure with the Steelers’s coach?

18-19 years coaching is a long haul. Thats alot of miles. Even for someone relatively young in age, its hard to start all over again with another organization.

    Seems like yesterday
Nothing like growing up in the 70s
    And
    Steelers football
Life in general was so much simplier
We all met at grandmas on Saturday nights
    When I die
Hopefully this is where I go to
House is gone, would it reappear in afterlife?

I heard Tomlin killed three high school girls to not only cover up a pregnancy but to appease the demonic masters he was in league with consistently take deeply flawed teams to winning seasons.

After Ben's elbow injury, Tomlin made a deal at the crossroads and rode that devil magic. Then the devil asked for his due. Paid off the families and the local cops were willing to cover it up because Tomlin was telling them to bet the over the last several years. They made a ton of money.

My cousin's co-worker's friend's sister's brother-in-law's uncle works for the state patrol. Got drunk one night and let the truth slip.
