2026 Free Agent Thread

To me it's not a bad draft just because you still don't have them. I believe that thought process is really lazy. You can't keep everyone. That would be like saying all FA suck. Therfore everyone we just got in FA by those thoughts would be suck draft picks. They are players that a team can't keep, and have to make decisions on.
To me a bad draft is when You get guys that nobody wants, or guys you drafted in the 1st round, and then later , at best they are backups.

 

He would be a #5 at the Bucs. He would be a #5 on the Cowboys.. He would be a #5 at the Eagles..He would probably be a #5 with the Bengals, 49rs. , Colts and Rams to name a few Teams..

He only weighs 165 lbs. he can only be used in certain areas and on certain routes ..IMO that makes him a #5 and #5's do have value . but they don't need to try to be something they are not.. He cant beat press coverage and he is to light to work the middle consistently..

 

Not sure how closely yinz been looking at the Ravens beyond Crosby but their LJ contract 'restructure' is actually a very big deal. Yes, they cleared $40M in cap space for 2026. But, it was not an extension. Details of the restructure haven't been released but in 2027 his cap is estimated at $84M. On top of this they have 3 years of void starting in 2028. They can exit the contract in 2027 with a deadcap of $74M but still have to deal with the void years. Ravens better hope he can return to MVP form. Me? I'm a doubter, especially given that OL.

 

Name the five receivers the Bucs have right now who are better than Austin. Now do it for the Bengals. The Eagles. The 49ers. The Colts. The Rams. Give us names.

 

I not going to look them all up , but here are the Bucs..Evans,Godwin,McMillian, and Ebuka ... They have their own Austin in Tez another 165 gadget player so Austin would have to battle for the 5th. spot..

 

Walker must be asking for too much money for a starting LT still to be unsigned.

They weren't going to re-sign him, and they were tired of his crap talented players get traded all the time .

 

They still need a FS, Brisker is similar to Elliott both are better in the box rather than in coverage.

Interesting, spent the first 4 years with the Rams and Chargers in their 3-4 as the starting NT. Then was moved outside when he switched to the Titans.
