No worries Scribe, I got your point and logic and there are already enough people around here who chose to endlessly debate minutia. But the original equation followed by the proverbial "LOL" was intended to make it a laughing matter (for most that is). No tactics involved in the clarification.

When I was just a grade schooler I liked one called Rick O Shay. It was related to the old west with the sheriff and a tea totaling gunslinger named Hipshot. They were buds. Loved The Far Side.

I think of Beetlejuice with the small headed guy in the room. Pickett would have been the small handed guy in the room . I think it was Beetlejuice. Someone correct me if that’s wrong.

Why? So he could throw AT LEAST TWO INTERCEPTIONS in big games? Ever hear of Marino calling an audible to a draw play????
ZERO RINGS!!! CHOKED AT EVERY LEVEL, at Pitt, at Central Catholic.

In the regular season, Marino was good enough to beat the '85 Bears. In the post-season, he couldn't beat the '85 Patriots AT HOME IN MIAMI and was badly outplayed by the great Tony Eason.

Marino choked in big games: his post-season game performance stats don't lie:
'83 playoff team vs Seattle 2 Ints 77.6 QBR
'84 SB vs SF 2 ints 66.9 QBR
'85 vs NE at home 2 ints 54.9 QBR
    '90 vs Buffalo 2 ints 72.1 QBR
'92 vs Buffalo at home 2 ints 56.5 QBR

The only playoff loss he played well
    '94 vs SD 0 ints 109.8 QBR

    1995 vs Buffalo 3 ints 63.4 QBR
    1997 vs NE 2 ints 29.3 QBR!
    1998 vs Denv 2 ints 65.5 QBR
    1999 vs Jax 2 ints 34.6 QBR!

Quarterback A at Pitt threw 81 touchdown passes to 32 interceptions and had the highest finish ever in the Heisman race for a Pitt quarterback. In his best season, he threw 42 touchdown passes and only 7 interceptions.

Quarterback B at Pitt threw 74 touchdown passes to 64 interceptions. Yes, 64 not a typo. In his best season, he threw 34 touchdowns and 21 interceptions. Quarterback B also had a far greater team and much better offensive line in front of him than Quarterback A.

    Which quarterback was better?

Anyone with a working cranium knows that Quarterback A was better.

    Quarterback A is Kenny Pickett.
    Quarterback B is Dan Marino.

And that farce is why he was grossly over drafted. He benefited from being an older college player beating up on 20 year olds.

It’s why one crashed and burned in the NFL and the other is in the HOF.

It's a no-brainer that Pickett loses that comparison in a landslide at the pro level. I don't even understand the comparison. There is no comparing Pickett to Dan Freaking Marino.

It reminds me of the people here that bang on Ben for every playoff loss. It's difficult playing against the best teams with the best defenses in the NFL in the playoffs. Just because their numbers don't match their regular season stats doesn't mean they are terrible. It means they are playing the very best teams every single time they go out of the field in the post season and sometimes the numbers aren't going to look great...especially playing for defensive-minded coaches that want to run the ball and control the clock.

It makes more sense when you realize it’s Ray Finkle.

Only time that guy posts is when someone mentions Marino, freaking hates him :lolol:
