I can have an intelligent conversation with my brother

And being he is a doctor he doesn’t bring fiction and fantasy into conversations

    Plus I respect him

    Given how Pittsburgh had recently caught up with Markel Bell out of the University of Miami, I expect even more OT players to be visited by the Steelers. Some dates to note;

March 12th: Clemson Pro Day (Blake Miller)

March 17th: Oregon Pro Day (Isaiah World)

March 18th: Georgia Pro Day (Morgan Freeling)

March 25: Alabama Pro Day (Kadyn Proctor)

March 27th: Arizona State Pro Day (Max Iheanachor)

Some of these players are not first round picks but others are. Of those that Pittsburgh would be willing to bet the farm on, my money is currently on Proctor.... assuming he is even there to begin with.

world and pregnon looked terrible in their playoff game. i mean terrible. think what an NFL front would do to them. Iheanachor they have met twice with. if he gets a 3rd or 4th visit i'd say he's heavily on their radar. i just don't think they are going that early on a tackle though. sure seems like most of the meetings are leaning towards WR's and CB's. i'm guessing 3rd round probably.

Actually the way I understood it was that Moore was better at LT at the time than BJ was, and BJ was better at RT than Moore was. We seen Moore get a contract for another team, will BJ ?

I don’t think BJ should ever take another snap

With the spinal fusion he could wind up paralyzed

Probably correct. Most that I've heard about they can't, maybe this is different in a way I don't know.
I still laugh at the people that got mad at me for getting mad at drafting him in the 1st, and a few were even dumb enough to actually accuse me of not liking him because He played for Georgia. Like I give a f**k where they played if they are actually good. I didn't want him in the 1st because he had too little experience, and we could have had Gonzalez at CB. Imagine Gonzalez on one side, and JPJ on the other. It would have been incredibly awesome.

How big is Washington ? With his injury did he eat his way to LT ? His tape as a blocker at TE he takes on edge rushers, DT''S both stationary and on the move and handles all very easily..

Just watched tape from 2024 on you tube and he pass sets very well and looks like a natural LT to me..Heck the Steelers combo block and leave him alone on the edge a lot , and he performs excellent..

If we need a LT he is the guy IMO...

    Sure

Take an offensive weapon off the field and let him play tackle

BJ is a LT, Fauntenu’s natural position is LT. Maybe thats part of the reason why our run blocking sucked. Cook played LT although he played RT in College, seems a RT might be more of a need that LT

We can get a TE easy ..Pat can play it , we can draft 1 ..MM will be making that choice I am just telling you the tape supports it..

Get some weapons that fit MM'S style and make a Franchise LT in the process ....

Oregon isn't just outlined for either World or Pregnon though. Dillon Thieneman will be there as well though between me and you, I am no fan of his either.

They should definitely bring in a guy in the draft, but im think 4th through 6th round.

Which makes this whole Pro Day process interesting and critical. Pittsburgh needs help at multiple spots. The last thing the team needed was to lose their ascending LT due to injury.

    Stinks for certain.

I consider you good at evaluating talent and as such I have a question.? If Washington was in this draft as a LT what grade would you give him based on his play in the NFL what skills does he show or doesn't show that could translate..This is not a if we should switch him , I already have my opinion on that ..

I'm not sure the Patriots make that trade if the Steelers are going to take Gonzalez. I have no doubt he was their guy.

That an injury may have ruined or ended his career now does not support your opinion then. It's not like there was any history of neck problems before the injury last season.

Fusion surgery is certainly not good. I have multiple herniated discs in my neck from an accident in 2023. I went through all sorts of options with an orthopedic surgeon. He told me he didn't even want to discuss any sort of fusion unless I was crippled to the point I couldn't function. He said he knows too many stories of people who had them and the results were a nightmare of frustration and crippling pain.

Sorry to hear about your wreck and health problems , but People with big money have access to better health care and new age procedures..So maybe BJ may be okay long term , but I am sure his DR. wont clear him if he feels his life is basically in danger...

I doubt he plays again , i just wish him health and happiness either way..

Thanks. Jones definitely has advantages. He has the money and team support to get better care. He is also a hell of a lot younger and in better overall physical condition.

I am just talking about fusion procedures in general. It is something to be avoided if at all possible.
