I have to put the Rams at the top or among the best. They just make outstanding moves and aren’t afraid to take risks. They give away first rd picks like it’s candy and they only strengthen their team.

They get McDuffie while still holding the #13 pick overall.

I’d probably put us middle of the pack. I think we draft fairly well but take a hit with free agent moves.

Would be Rams 1 and Eagles 2 for me with Seahawks top 5. Have been making great moves since Carrol left.

Don’t count out the Rats. Not the best lately but for some time they were outstanding with their moves.

Rams had two first round picks this year so this isn't exactly the same as the 'first round picks don't matter' era.

That said, I think it's hard to argue against Roseman and Philly. He fired an eventual HOF head coach, fired the coach who got him his first Super Bowl. Went to another Super Bowl with the next coach. And then went to a third Super Bowl and won. They're on a pretty good run.

Rams are there too. Probably more consistent than Philly, but not as much hardware.

The Chiefs are an interesting case. If they can rebuild in a year or two and take another run with Mahomes, it's a different story. But right now that roster is pretty bad and their cap isn't a disaster, but it isn't great either. They're already an outlier in the sense that Mahomes won two Super Bowls while taking up >13% of the cap. That hadn't been done since Steve Young. And he took up way more than that. Like 17% in both 2022 and 2023. It's almost like they've won 3 Super Bowls in spite of their Front Office in some ways.

On the other hand, hard to argue with five Super Bowl appearances and three trophies in six years. So they sucked this year. The Steelers took a yearlong vacation each of the last two times they won the Super Bowl.

Rams have confidence in both their drafting and their coaching and that makes them not afraid to make big key moves to fill a roster hole. No other team has had fewer 1st round picks in the last decade. They shamed the Steelers' talent evaluation with the Dotson trade. Steelers would be in fine shape with Dotson at RG and the new pieces in place. KC and PHI are in the running. BAL has slipped since Newsome left (let's see what happens with Linderbaum after they decided not to tag him).

Not to mention the DK trade last year. Seattle was able to not sign DK to that Mega contract last year the Steelers had him sign. Boy did we overpay for DK.

DK Metcalf signed a 4-year, $132 million extension with the Pittsburgh Steelers in March 2025 following a trade from the Seahawks, making him one of the NFL's highest-paid receivers with a $33 million average annual salary and $60 million in guarantees. His contract includes a $30M signing bonus, with a $31M cap hit for 2026.

Have to admit that I thought the Rams would be in cap / lack of draft capital hell for a while after their SB win.

Managed that much, much better than I thought they would.

I can think of worse FO's than Steelers. Jets come to mind. Browns. Raiders. Dolphins. Bengals because of their defense. Panthers were bad for a time, so were the Titans. Redskins/Commanders under Snyder regime were really bad. Steelers have a better FO than the Cowboys... but not by much.

Steelers FO is far down the list if the past 10 years are taken into account. Terrible 1st round draft picks and questionable free agent acquisitions that did not improve the team... sometimes making it worse.

Disagree. Cleveland and Dallas are worse than the Steelers. The Cowboys are nothing but a glorified hobby for GM/Owner Jerry Jones, who decades later is still trying to prove he is the reason for success and not Jimmy Johnson. Jerry is terrible at cap management, they aren't good at free agency, and honestly their drafting is so-so anymore. Their team is about media attention, not actual winning.

Sure the Steelers don't have a QB that can win a playoff game, but least we aren't paying $60 million a year for a big-game choker that will never win a Superbowl. Funny how Dak Prescott's great pass numbers are mostly garbage time stats, weak defenses, and seldom against elite teams. That front office is littered with Jerry's progeny and his successor Stephen Jones...oh boy. Just like his father but with less intelligence and football acumen.

Cleveland....they are just terrible. I don't have hours to type out all their disasters and mistakes.

The Steelers front office hasn't been 'great' because of some of Art II's decisions, but there are way worse front offices in the NFL.

I keep saying this is going to catch up with the Eagles , because their VOID YEARS Dead Contract Money continues to grow each year. $427 million in Void Years, even if they were to just completely shutdown for a year, this would not dig them out of the hole they have dug. And, if things continue; Next year we will be talking over half a "Billion" for how much dead money they are carrying.

    AI
Eagles have over $427 million in cumulative void-year charges from 2026–2033, highlighting their "buy now, pay later" strategy.

And this is smart since they know their window is right now....who care about 2030 right now!
