There could be something to be said about that.

Well I hope his lab work helped him ..MM says he got much better as a Coach because of more film study..AR has studied every season and he gets mad when the rest of the Offense doesn't want to do the work , I hope that translates to the field.. He has to hit on the WR spot at least 1 good Vet and a high potential draft pick..I believe AR and MM when they talk about Will and I think they both are trying to set him up to be our Franchise guy...

The last thing Will needs is to be thrown into a new scheme with new Coaches and a different WR room..If we get enough talent and all goes well AR might do more seasons to build Will up even more..

A lot to be said about learning the game from people who really know it ,great for long term confidence and wisdom of the position ..

The Steelers have too many other needs beyond qb to make a deep run- won’t happen this yr.

So let Rodgers go and rebuild thru the draft over next two yrs - fill openings w/ free agency. It wouldn’t bother me if we traded Watt or f we could land a 1st round pick. Let’s get younger and make a run 3 yrs from now.

I'm in total agreement with the Will Howard part, and it can help him.

Let AR start, but i doubt he finishes the season. Good opportunity for Will Howard, this may be the one season where we all get a chance to see what hes got.

But Will Howard has to overtake MR for no 2 first. Thats not guaranteed either. I wouldn't be surprised if Howard ends up no 3 again.

I still think the Steelers are going to bring in someone that is going to bounce Mason from the #2 spot right out of town. I remember when Landry Jones suffered the same fate when Mason was drafted. Landry went from being the sure thing backup QB to Ben, to being unemployed when the team went younger and cheaper with Mason and Dobbs.

I fully expect Mike McCarthy to bring in a QB that he has history with like Trey Lance, draft a Art Rooney Local boy like Drew Allar, or maybe even bring in a rebuilding project like Anthony Richardson.

I also like the fact that Khan may still have his pole in the water to bring in say Kyler Murry or Mac Jones. As Aaron Rodgers said yesterday there was no offer yet from the Steelers, so maybe, there is a reason the Steelers have not offered a contract to Rodgers yet. If they have an offer on the table for Rodgers, they can't really go fishing for any starting QB #1s.

In the end I think Mason Rudolf goes the way of Landry Jones when the team announces its Final 53-man roster.

Steelers keep Josh Dobbs, cut quarterback Landry Jones | AP News
The Pittsburgh Steelers chose to keep Dobbs and rookie Mason Rudolph as the primary backup quarterbacks behind Ben Roethlisberger when they pared the roster to 53 on Saturday. The decision left Jones, a six-year veteran, as the surprising odd man out.
