Plus injuries now. Soon his mother will bear fault for birthing him with tiny hands.

KFP is a perfect fit for the right Team .. If a Team is looking to keep the W column clean and stack the L column with a desire to draft #1... KFP is the man followed closely by Mason Reindeer.

Let the tanking games begin.. My money is on district 12 and KFP...

His mother is glad the doctor who delivered him had tiny hands

My dad was a small guy with small hands but he delivered 3-4k babies

Pickett's Dad could be at fault with those hands too....just saying.

It was the past regime of Tomlin and Colbert who overdrafted Pickett, a prospect that most teams viewed as having a third round grade. As Steeler fans we took it in the shorts.

I felt Kenny Pickett was a bust the day we drafted him. His low wonderlic score (17 ) tiny hands, ( below 9" ) and weak NFL arm spelled doom. He also was a 1 year wonder who played weak competition.

I read the Steelers tried to trade up for him in round one!

If he only had bigger hands, who knows he could of become the next Tom Brady of the NFL. ;)

That was one of the bigger concerns I had with him, that he was benefitting from being an experienced college player.

Although you are correct I do believe you missed the point about the doctor’s small hands

How is Richardson not at the top of the worst? He was drafted #1 overall and was horrid.

Probably because he’s been injured too much and also raw talent. What was Pickett good at? What QB traits that are looked for in a QB did he posses.

The offense under Pickett produced historically bad numbers.

That I have to believe the perfect system for him at the right time (23 years old). Whomever the Pitt OC was that season, he deserves heaps of praise to make Pickett look like an All-ACC QB. Nuts.

If we had only drafted a good CB or MLB or even WR then...sigh.

Hopefully the Kenny Pickett Experience will prove to NFL Evaluators that stats are not everything when it comes to not just players but QBs doubly so. I was hopeful in 2022 despite the limited action... then I realized that Matt Canada was a severe issue. In 2023, both Pickett and Canada were the issues. Now?! Both Canada and Pickett are no longer gainfully employed (more so Canada).

I let the talking heads sway me that because he was the “most pro ready” that he might be a good QB. But he was on the bottom of my list.

    I think my order was:

    Willis
    Corral (phew)
    Ridder
    Howell
    Pickett

Maybe, but raw talent that completes passes at a 50/50 rate isn't NFL material. Not even backup.

    I understand man! All good!

    For me?! This is what I look for in a QB. They are as follows;

    1. Watch their heads when they are holding the ball in the pocket. Are they going through their progressions or not? Does it look like they are actually moving their heads and reading coverage post-snap, and are able to look at two or more of their targets regularly when dropping back? One of the skills NFL quarterbacks need to have is the ability to make two or more reads.

    2. Are they getting the ball out of their hand quickly? With the kinds of speed pass-rushing demons screaming off the edges in today’s NFL game, it’s vitally important that college quarterbacks show the ability to get the ball out of their hand in a timely fashion. The NFL range for NFL QBs time to throw in 2025 was between 2.56 seconds and 3.24 seconds per Next Gen Stats.

    3. Accurate throws. Watch the throwing locations. Is the quarterback you’re watching able to deliver the ball in a spot that puts the receiver in the best possible position to pick up yardage after the catch?

    4. Keeping the ball out of harm’s way is extremely important. This is also referred to as “ball security.” Do they have the ability to keep defenders from touching their passes? I don’t just mean interceptions either. I also mean PBUs (passes broken up). I personally chart PBUs during college quarterback game film study.

    5. How well can they adapt to the flow of the game post-snap?

The ability to read defenses, successfully adapt post-snap, keep the ball out of harm’s way, and make quick and accurate throwing decisions are some of the functional skills they need to have. In short?! QB is a very traits heavy position; more than any other in the NFL. There are certain tools a QB must have also; hand size and height being the two of them. Arm Strength and Arm Talent do help but if both are even the NFL Average, should the QB Prospect showcase elite levels in the aforementioned five aspects I outlined, you have something truly special there.

I'd like to challenge this with the Trey Lance pick in 2021. 3 first round picks and a 3rd round pick For Trey Lance by San Francisco.

I have never considered the Kenny Picket selection by the Steelers to come anywhere near the Disaster that Kyle Shanahan had with the Trey Lance Trade and Pick!!!

Funny both of them were traded away before the end of their rookie contracts, just Trey Lance cost San Francisco a lot more in trade value: correction make that a :poopy:-Ton more. :lollmao:
