Maybe they properly went into rebuild mode to restock for a proper playoff run. In any case, it doesn't change the fact that 15 of 19 seasons without a playoff win and 6 WC playoff embarrassments is not "getting it done". It's just not.

And regarding Cowher: He got to the super bowl with O'Donnell. Then he got to the AFC Championship game twice with Kordell. Then he got back to the AFC championship under Ben and the next year, won it all with Ben. 8 out of 15 years, the Steelers won a playoff game under Cowher. Tomlin, 4 out of 19.

Jury is still out on Howard with McCarthy as coach. Pickett is likely a backup QB for the remainder of his career. Same with Rudolph.

Tomlin (Ben Pre-Injury) - 4/12 --- so Tomlin needed to win two more playoff games to rank at the 50% rate that his peers do. Ben doesn't eat a Buick that one year....that is probably a win. Shazier doesn't get paralyzed...there's another win. And bingo-bango-boingo....you have your 50% rate that is on par with other coaches with similar high level QB situations. Shanahan hasn't had the QB...so I threw him in for funsies.
