Sure take a player who is becoming a very good offensive weapon and stick him at tackle

Broderick was improving nicely until he got injured although not enough to justify the option IMO

Only reason to use a pick on a LT is if they don’t expect him to recover from his injury

And that is a very big “if”

Omar mentioned a couple of other players in a positive note regarding their recovery

His response regarding Broderick was much more guarded

Washington is too valuable as a receiver to move to LT IMO. Surely they can draft a decent LT in one of the middle rounds.

As much as we like to discuss positions, the most effective way to draft is to combine position with best player. I don't "want" a LT in the first, but if the next Trent Williams is there and there isn't another player, especially at a position of need, that is available then you go LT. I don't want a safety either in that slot, but if a soft-spoken Polynesian out of USC is there, I jump. The moment you draft for position alone, you draft Troy Edwards because your top two receivers are off the board and he's the next one you got.

Yes to not moving a valuable receiver

No to finding a decent LT in middle rounds not likely

I never said stick him, I said try him you can do that in a few practices ..We have very good edge pass rushers if he can handle them he could play the position at a high level IMO ..Who knows he might be a stud at LT ? Would that not make him way more valuable to the Team and a lot more value for the player..

He was compared to Jason Peters by a lot in the NFL so I just suggested a look ...What would 6 or 8 hours cost ? Any OL Coach would know if it was worth investing in or not by then...

Just what if the Team has a Jason Peters talent playing part time as a TE ? You know how Coach T was he refused to give up on high draft picks until 3 seasons at least ...

You are substituting ad hominem arguments for valid ones.

You got me there, it's pretty rare that a LT drafted in rounds 3-5 becomes a decent (let alone good) starter. Hopefully Broderick's neck heals 100%, and he continues to improve so they won't have to use another high draft pick on a tackle. Besides, Dylan Cook filled in very well for Broderick, so I don't think there is a pressing need to draft a LT in 2026. They have bigger issues to address in the draft other than LT, mainly WR, CB, ILB, and last but not least, QB.
