Without you reposting the percentages, lets assume its roughly the same year to year. So his number of sacks has decreased dramatically in the past two seasons as hes hit his 30’s. What does that tell you?

No it actually didn't start happening all the time till he almost broke the sack record , he only played part of 14 games, and every single player in the history of the NFL has a down year , here, and there, and even in his down year he still had 3 ints, 3 forced fumbles, 8 pass defensed, and 7 sacks. That's a career year for many players, and it was his down year

 

If you haven't seen it much than you don't know what it is or you haven't been watching.

You go find the numbers you seek and learn something instead of telling other people they don't know what they're talking about without even understanding the technique or what to look for.

 

It tells me that you want everyone to believe the BS your spouting without you doing any homework or understanding the material being discussed.

 

I understand the material fine. To me it looks like age is catching up with him. It looks like it in the games and its reflected in the stats. You believe what you want to believe. Why don't you stick your nose somewhere else.

You're the one that doesn't know how often TJ Watt is chipped. You said you didn't see much of the chipping happening but if you understood what a chip is you would already know how often it happens. You also continue to make a judgement on Watt's performance without knowing how often Watt is being chipped, yet still claiming he is declining.

They aren't stupid accusations. They are exactly the uninformed claims you are making while you're advertising that you don't know what you're talking about because you say you don't see Watt getting chipped. To say something that uninformed tells everyone that you don't know what you're talking about or you don't watch the games. Either way, it shows you don't know what you are talking about and those are the only two choices based on your own words.

Maybe you should stop calling people nuts or saying people are making stupid accusations when you are the one that is uninformed and doesn't know what chipping an edge pass rusher is. Stop acting like you know when you don't have a clue.

 

Hes been chipped for most of his career. But his sacks are going down anyway. He was doubled more often before as well. Its happening less this season cause teams are finding they can handle him with a single blocker. Commentators have mentioned that this season as well. It looks like hes on the decline, look at edge rushers stats after 30, their sack numbers almost always go down. Do i have to spell it out? Yes I want TJ to have a resurgent year, i hope you guys are right, but it seems like a long shot based on his age and the way hes looked, specially this past season. Maybe the new DC can get more production out of him, at least get his sack number up a bit.

 

he beat frequent chipping and double teams in 2021, his record setting year. I remember that. Thats what made him so good. I dont know what to tell you. I hope he has a resurgent year also. But i wouldn't count on it.
