See a lot of people saying we should trade Herbig, personally I rather trade Highsmith I think Herbig has a bigger upside but I would like to know what everyone else thinks maybe trade Highsmith for AJ brown?

Why trade anyone? Watt is getting older, fast. You need depth at every position.

Trade DK Metcalf for anything. Get Rashid Shaheed in free agency and draft a year 1 reciever who is immediately good.

Keep AJ Brown the **** away from the Steelers. Steelers are done with childish diva recievers.

AJ Brown whined, bit**ed and pouted while they won the Superbowl. How do you think he would act on a team that hasn't won a playoff game in a decade?

I would think the Rams are going to do whatever it takes to win a Super Bowl for Stafford as it’s probably his last season.

    They need Watt badly.
Imagine Gainwell with a real pro offense.

Rams are the team to deal with.

Rams or Eagles could want Watt. Best we could probably get for him is a 3rd rounder and we would probably have to eat some of his salary. I would trade Highsmith and keep Herbig just because he is older and injury prone.

I think there is going to be a market for Gainwell this year. I could see him going to Minnesota.

While trades are becoming more common in the NFL, betting against a trade is still the most likely option.

If they did want to trade one of our edges, it's probably better to do it at the deadline. Because someone will be more desperate at this time.

Also, my guess is that supply of good / great edges this year will be very high. Crosby and Garrett (again) seem to both be demanding to be traded (although they could just be ploys for more $$)

    Why would we trade anyone??
We made the playoffs 3 years in a row with what we got, and I was told with better coaching, and scheme, we would be better. So better would be playoff wins, and a chance at the SB, so why trade away people??

We don’t have a QB. We make the playoffs and get beat by 30. This team isn’t close to winning anything and should absolutely tear it down and hope we can land a good QB in 2027. Unfortunately Art will try to bring back old man Rodgers to grind out 9 wins.

Tomlins mentality and style was absolutely part of the problems but unfortunately it might not have been the biggest.

I am still betting Roman Wilson gets traded to the Chargers for a late round pick if Rodgers is coming back.

And, it is a shame that Arthur Smith went back to college, because we may have been able to unload Jonnu Smith on his new team. :)

Trading away the likes of Alex Highsmith or Nick Herbig basically means that EDGE becomes a much higher priority for the team in both FA and the draft. Of the two options, the draft is better. That said, this upcoming class of EDGEs is.... not as good as people make it out to be sans one player; two arguably in Arvell Reese. The rest need either development, the right scheme or a combination of both.

My suggestion?! Keep both. Work out a deal.

Well, considering that Mike McCarthy uses a lot more 11 to 12 personnel than Arthur Smith ever did, I would still give Roman Wilson a shot. Calvin Austin the Third might not be on the team in 2026 and you don't want to further weaken your WR Room by jettisoning another. Free Agency helps but only so much. Using the draft would help also but as I have said before and will again, supply will always meet demand when it comes to that position.

Long story short?! Still go for a WR in the 2026 NFL Draft but also give Roman Wilson a shot. This all said, all of this depends on if Aaron Rodgers returns as his repour with Wilson wasn't the best.

There was a rumor recently that Herbig wants to be a starter it came from somebody claiming to know him.

I wouldn't doubt that rumor for a second given how Nick Herbig has been on the up and up since 2023. I had him graded out as a Top 75 Player. While he wasn't going to be good enough to hold the edge in the Running Game, his overall speed, agility and explosiveness made him a hand in glove fit for a 3-4 Defense. Years later, I still am right about him; still cannot set the edge consistently enough but is a hell raiser as a speed rusher.

The last sentence highlights Nick Herbig's current problem. He still can blow up plays in the backfield as a chase down EDGE Defender but Offense's will not allow that to happen repeatedly. If anything, Herbig needs to be used more like Micah Parsons than anything for his pure speed will allow him to overwhelm a good deal of NFL IOL's minus the top tier ones.

I agree, trade Watt, he’s injury prone and on the wrong side of 30. Maybe the Rams or Bills would take him for a good return. We should get a 2nd round pick at least.

If we trade someone, I'd trade PF.

MM will run far less 2 and 3 TE sets.

So one of PF or JW is going to be serverely underused.

I'd rather have JW be out primary TE, and since I don't think TE2 will get much work, it's set of we can get something for Pat

If he’s with a second round pick then he is definitely worth keeping

I disagree. There is no way You can say with a straight face that if our Offense could have done anything, we would not have won. All we need was something on offense besides them giving up turnovers for scores. It was 10-6 until the offense started giving up fumbles for tds, and ints for tds.
