Trade, sign, cut, extend

i think it depends on the team. we are kind of set at many positions and we are trying to upgrade certain ones. ILB and the tackling are one. safety would be another. one more D-Lineman would help as well. i'd love ours to be styles. kayden mcdonald could be a good pick as well. it's not that adding these guys will make a huge impact by themselves but make the whole unit better as a whole.

 

by the way cam had his knee cleaned up. yes he has played well but father time is undefeated. that replacement will need to get in the pipeline. harmon was a good start.

DL is still a big priority, IMO. If you remove Cam from that group, it's not terrible, but they need help. I'm curious how we will look and line up with our new coaches this season.
If we draft another 'Harmon' at 21, I wouldn't be heart broken.

 

I don't question is raw talent, I just don't think he is very smart. I like my LT's to know what the **** is going on.

 

I'm good with another DT. Can't have enough of them and a strong DL makes the rest of the defense better.

 

Keep in mind when you have some thing like this cleaned up it doesn’t mean it’s fixed like new

i had knee scoped years ago and they removed arther as well. he said don't worry it will be back.

 

wouldn't mind seeing us get a guy like lee hunter in the 2nd round. the DL would be right there i believe.

I am thinking Dontae Corleone in 3rd round. He has had some health issues (blood clots) but if he is healthy now. He would be a good pick to shore
up the NT position. Before he had these health issues, he was a top notch player. His medical history would have to check out.

 

i think hunter is far better. you don't lose much if he's caught on the field either on passing downs. had an extremely good week at the senior bowl. he's got size as well. probably 2nd round.

 

Maybe in my own personal mock I have Ponds as our 2nd rd pick.

Ramsey is in the same boat but even worse of a decline. You can pick up 19 million at least if you cut Ramsey. That is what I am doing or he can be a very expensive big Nickel who is good in the box against the run and TE’s but a liability in coverage against fast shifty receivers. He was below average at safety and lacks the speed to play free safety. You already have a cheaper more productive player at strong safety in Destin Elliot. I want Ramsey off of this team. It was another bad pickup by Tomlin.

‘why resign Connor Heyward? You can get a cheaper version of him in the later rounds of the draft. I would move Broderick Jones to guard and would not extend him. If he plays well I would try to resign him next year. Let Cook, a draft pick and Darnell Washington battle it out for the LT spot. Yes Washington. In this offense he will be underutilized at TE and he has a potential all pro skill set at LT so move him to LT and your set for the next ten years there. If we don’t we will lose him in a year and that is exactly what some other team will do.

Finally I am resigning James Pierre on a one year prove it deal. Can you duplicate what you did last year?

Then go get Romeo Dobbs in FA and Elandon Robert’s. Sign a middling Safety for depth and draft two WR’s and a Safety, Slot CB high as we need to retool the secondary and get younger and faster. Probably look at depth developmental ilb’s and Edge players and pick up a guard and OT to develop. The guard is a higher priority and should be fairly early.

 

‘I like Ponds and we really need a good slot player they are so important to defenses today. However asssuming we draft we in the first I was hoping that Safety from Oregon would be there in the second. I would love that guy and the. Hopefully you get a guy like Ponds in the third.
