In watching Matt Jones last year, he looked pretty good to me. Although playing for the 49's all their QB's look good. I think he is better then anyone we have.

I look up Aaron Rodgers and I get a ton of BS about his "maybe" wife.

I'm guessing he has not made a decision either way. Will he have to make that decision before draft????

I don’t believe his decision to play will have any affect on the Steelers draft and it shouldn’t

If there is a QB available when they draft in round one they like they will make the decision entirely on the draftee

QB is going to have ability to move.
I don’t think McCarthy should settle for an old buddy that can’t add another dimension for the Defense to think about.

We’re gonna see what he thinks about Rudolph, finally someone that will see if he’s got what it takes to win Playoff games.

    Howard will be on roster.

Mac Jones if we can get him, just to round out the Qb room, let the three of them battle it out in camp and preseason. Even if he played great in preseason i would not start Howard, instead have him backup Jones or Rudy.

Writers like this fool that wrote the article are the ones that should be unemployed.....
There was absolutely nothing in his maniacal rant that remotely resembled actual player analysis..
The entire article focuses on his draft position....... This is a sports writer that clearly has no knowledge of the sports that he writes about

Will Howard. Rudolph backs him up. They could possibly draft a QB showing interest in Ty Simpson.

I trust in McCarthy to develop a QB so let him do his magic.

If they fail its still a win with a better position in the 2027 draft.

So you think the clowns, crows and bungles are going to do better? The AFC North will probably struggle this season.

I'm not talking 4-13 here. A 7-10, 8-9 would help secure a better position. I guess you forgot that Ben was drafted because of a 6-10 season? How did that work out? Pretty solid right!?

I also did not say tank. If it happens organically being competitive what's wrong with that?

But bring back Rodgers and watch him get beaten down again and look lost in some games.

Your still on board with the Rinse and Repeat? Would a winning season and a smashing in the playoffs satisfy you? Not me.

Sometimes you need to take a step back to take steps forward. Take a look at New England as example. Didn't take long for them and now in the Super Bowl again. Which makes me sick but they had some struggles and retooled and found their franchise QB.

I think the answer is different depending on what you want from the Steelers this season

The best option to win the most games and contend for a playoff spot is Rodgers or Jones. The best option to roll the dice on an exciting young player is Willis. The best option to secure the best draft pick for next year is Rudolph. The best option to make a determination on our QB room going into 2027 is Will Howard. Depending on what you want for the Steelers next year, your answer will differ.

Personally, I think the only options are Rodgers, Rudolph,or Howard. I don't see us going the Willis route. I doubt SF just "gives" Jones away, so I am not sure the juice will be worth the squeeze so to speak. We want to develop a young QB. That is why we brought McCarthy in. If we go Rodgers, we're developing Howard and seeing if we need to take a QB in 2027. Obviously if we elect to go with Rudolph, we're gearing up for a top 10 pick for a QB in 2027. And if we go Howard (the ballsy move). We're in a "lets see what happens mode". Which, if we start Rudolph... we're going to give Howard a shot at some point after we've been eliminated anyway just to give it a go.

Who says that would be a bad thing for a year? If we have a bad year, we are investing in a QB in 2027... it could be really worth it to end up with Sayin, Moore, or Manning. Patriots sucked for a year, drafted Maye, sucked for one more, and now are in the Super Bowl. I'm not saying that is likely or anything, but sometimes you gotta suck for a year or two to get the elite QB. If we roll with Howard, we either get to see that he's actually pretty good and worth building around... or he isn't going to cut it and we need to draft a QB. It's the only way to know for sure what we have. I'd take that year over a 9 win, miss the playoffs or get rolled in the postseason again, that's for sure.

Not a good example in New England they had back-to-back 4-13 seasons.

Falcons have announced they will be releasing Kirk Cousins today.

Do you want to try again for a league minimum QB?

Moore and Manning are likely going top 5 so you can forget about them.
