Raiders are expected to hire Klint Kubiak. Thats the first hire I’m jealous of. Have no idea why the Steelers never even had him on their list. They interviewed Klay but not him for some reason.

Would be great for Mendoza having Kubiak as his HC.

He’ll have some weapons to work with, get some WR in there. Maybe the Raiders become a good team again if he is as good a HC as he is an OC.

Even if they had interviewed him it is clear now that the Steelers were more interested in a seasoned HC. And the current state of the team with its mix of vet and youth I think it was the right direction to go. Kubiak is gonna be behind the eight ball in getting a staff together. McCarthy drew heavily from his network but also brought a few intriguing guys as well.

    Weaver to the Ravens.

Ravens D is going to bounce back. That’s two very good defensive minds.

    Good for him.

With the way he was passed up by the Browns and then the way Monken made a point of it to diss him at his press conference, I don't blame him. Let Monken and that legendary owner and front office find someone to make them look good.

Their MVP QB. It's all the scuttlebutt in Ravens land that the QB didn't care enough to be there. Murmurs he isn't happy with another 'defensive minded' HC.

Why would players show up for a HC press conference

I don’t see it even being a thought

Kingsbury wants to be the next McVay assistant to get a HC job I guess.

Translation: I didn't get a job this cycle. Not even a serious offer.

Ask Josh Allen at Brady's PC, or the 18 Cardinals that showed up for LaFleur, or Dak Prescott and a dozen Cowboys for Schotty....

The Rams wouldn't be paying him money if they didn't think they were getting something out of it. I'm sure a guy like McVay is interested in some of his ideas and how he was able to get a ton out of Jayden Daniels in Washington. He worked wonders with RPOs, read option, zone read, play action, etc.. with Daniels. Of course Daniels is a very talented player, but putting him in a system that worked so well for him so fast is unusual.

McVay is most likely preparing for life after Matthew Stafford and is trying to be prepared for any style quarterback to work with and develop. The smartest people understand that they don't know everything and love to pick the brains of others. They are always learning.
