Just my 2 cents. Its going to be a long season. Some of you guys can be optimistic all you want. What really changed from last year to this year? We're even worst off now. The pre season game does not bode well for the black and gold.
Ben, no protection running for his life. Special teams suck. No running game. Our secondary gets burned. Same old same old poop. We have less talent on this team than we did last year. Ben is going to have to carry this team on his shoulders. Is he up to it? I doubt it.

I'm optimistic that it too early to tell anything from one preseason game. I'm pessimistic about Troy though just from that same game. He looked SLOWWWWWWWWWW and way out of position on the Cruz TD. Hopefully that won't be routine this season as age tends to catch up with everyone sooner or later.

I thought the running game was actually a highlight. LSH looked really good and we've not even seen Bell yet. The jury is DEFINITELY still out on the running game more than any other phase actually for the fact that we've yet to see Bell.

I didn't know there was a comic called that. I was using it as what it actually means. It's weird because I'm an avid and rabid comic book collector but I never read the funnies. Isn't that funny? Get it?

And some of you can be as pessimistic as you like. As Mac pointed out, plenty has changed. You should also know by now that every season is unique unto itself, there's a lot that goes into how a season unfolds for a team, last year has no bearing on this season.

i would like to see a deep ball to Wheaton, I believe he can be close to Wallace in the future (speed wise). Also see if Sanders can make the big play in open field catch and run without fumbling or getting hurt.

Unchanged, like I've said before, preseason is to judge individual performance and work out the kinks.

So we got a lot of kinks :lolol:

I have no problem rooting for them, I actually root harder when were struggling. After all the good seasons they have given us they deserve our support.

I'm MORE optimistic in Jarvis Jones. MORE optimistic in Jonathan Dwyer. MORE optimistic in Landry Jones. MORE optimistic in Woodley.

Even LESS optimistic in our pass protection and I don't care HOW rose colored your glasses are there is NO WAY you can justify that crap we saw tonight. I'm LESS optimistic in Worilds being the starter all season because I think Jarvis is coming out swinging and creating turnovers. I wanted to see Worilds do good and have rooted for him but I think he lacks the fire that Jones seems to have. I'm LESS optimistic that Ben and Todd are on the same page regardless of what they're saying in the media. I still feel like Haley really thinks he has to protect Ben and I don't think Ben is the kinda guy you can pigeonhole in to a "system" for every down of every game ya know? So that's what I would say. I'm judging my optimism on an individual basis since the preseason is sort of about individuality anyway.

I don't think it's fire, I think it's talent that Jones has over him.

Tomlin, when asked about the INT

"Ben was Ben. That was a nice play by their left outside linebacker. I am not going to take anything away from him. Largely I am just looking at it from a group standpoint. We have to be better."

I just wish they started turning over the roster sooner, and kept being aggressive drafting big boys till they found some. Heyward, Hood, Adams, Gilbert , Pouncey and even DeCastro (we havent seen anything from him- STFU before you cry, yes he was injured but still havent seen nothing), they should keep hitting those spots hard in the draft

The really strong Steelers teams all had one thing in common, they were all physical and didnt get pushed around.

Thats such an oxymoron. You guys are funny. "He's been injured but hey, we haven't seen anything! Don't tell me he's been injured, I don't care that he missed most of his first season, I want to see something!" :lolol:
