Casey Hampton

This is one thing I have been wondering for a while. Did Big Snack just fall off the face of the earth? I know that at the end of the year it was said we would not be bringing him back but just wondering if anyone knows did he oficially retire? Did anyone ever hear anything about him wanting to continue to play and would be willing to go to another team and if so were there any rumors about teams that he may go to? I honestly don't remember hearing about anything on him for a while and if he did retire are you telling me there was no official statement from the Steelers on his career or a ceremony? I mean the defense only revolved around him for like 12 years. Anyone know the official status of Hampton?

 

I havent heard a single word about Casey. I agree. We need an update on the big guy!

 

He's just sitting and waiting I think. If theres an injury on some team...he may get a call. If he was officially retired you'd hear about it for sure.

 

The last I read his locker was still open.

It's rumored that he has taken up residence in Japan for the new 2014 Godzilla Vs. Mothra movie.
In this one, Godzilla emerges from the Pacific while Mothra continues fighting for the people but they end up battling within a city block of two Tokyo McDonalds from where Big Snack emerges smashing subways, destroying housing units and knocking down high rises all in the name of Big Snacks Big Mac's.
The 3D version will certainly have you throwing cinema snacks at the screen just to try and keep him in a food coma.

 

I think he's probably sitting at home preparing for his new career as the new host of Man vs Food.

 

Big Snack and Adam could do a competition to see who can eat the most tailgate food before the home opener.

 

Actually, I do recall him saying that he wanted to continue playing when we released him, don`t have a link or anything, tho.
I haven`t heard of anyone signing him, but I wouldn`t be surprised if he winds up somewhere, between now, and the start of the season.
Injuries happen, or some team might not be comfortable wth their depth, if he would be willing to be a backup, which I kinda doubt.
I am slightly surprised(but not shocked) that no one has tried to sign him on the cheap for a season, or maybe they have, and he said no.
His best days are definitely behind him, but I can`t believe he isn`t still better, than at least one of the 31 other starting NT`s... Maybe not, tho, or other teams want their youth to develop, instead of signing a 1 year fix?

I'm here hanging out with Casey and when I say "hanging out" I mean it literally. He says screw all of you making fun of his weight and if your not careful he is going to come to your house and eat you, your family and all the food you have in your kitchen!
