    Half and half

I ordered from the traditional American half of the menu and it was ok

But the place was packed with Asians ordering from the real Chinese menu so it must be good

I asked because I wondered what your favorite was. I've been to 30 of the 32 and, by far, Jalisco is my favorite. My son has been living in Tulum, QR for about 18 months now. You're right, Mexico City is DF just like Washington is DC.

I went to Cozumel to scuba dive many times but not much else to do there

Cuernavaca is a very nice old colonial town that I would base out of while doing business (horticulture)

La Paz in Baja California sur was very laid back and very cheap

My favorite is Zihuatenajo it is a non touristy fishing town inexpensive and fun places to eat

(Zihuatenajo is run by the cartels which would sound bad but they launder money there and they don’t want anyone drawing attention so they do not allow crime)

If you saw the Shawshank Redemption the last scene on the beach was filmed in front of our little hotel

Just for the food I would like to go to Oaxaca but I would have to head to some beach town afterwards just get my fix

It has nothing to do with Mexico but I’ve been to the island/country of Grenada multiple times and want to go back

Been to Zihuat many times. We were one of the first boats to go in to the marina in Ixtapa when it was new. We came in at night and the fishermen had strung a monofilament net across the entrance. Of course, it got wrapped up in the props. We managed to get to an end tie and, when my deckhand went to dive to cut it off in the morning, we found a live 10-12 foot crocodile sleeping on the swim step!

They said he was well known to the guys who built the marina. They named him Pancho. There's also a crocodile named Panch in Marina Vallarta and a giant sea lion named Panch in Cabo San Lucas who jumps on the swim steps of boats and steals bait right out of the tank. Pancho gets around!

Oaxaca has Puerto Escondido (famous big wave surfing spot) Puerto Angel and Huatulco. Just stay far away from Pochutla! (long story)

No, only on the coast. I've seen the travel brochures and it looks pretty cool!

If you like that colonial look, I highly recommend Queretaro. It's my ex-wife's home town and where my son was born. Very old world downtown. Maximilian's tomb is there. Opal mines are close by. Also highly recommend San Miguel de Allende, GTO. Beautiful architecture. Very artsy. Neither one is on the coast
