    I think it's hilarious that they did this. No problem with them not letting him be a first ballot HoF. I mean it's not an official designation and it's not like he's not going in.

    I'm kinda eh on it. He will eventually get in. I am surprised that at least 10 voters saw fit to not vote him in on the first ballot. Who knew writers had any integrity?

    Yep. Makes a mockery of the HOF.

    And if the reasoning was make him wait as punishment, are they going to bring that same energy when its Bradys turn.

    As much as people couldnt stand those two, they are easily first ballots.

    They're just mixing politics with sports. Bill Polian is a piece of **** for doing that. Belichek either has the resume to be a 1st ballot or he doesn't. If he doesn't, nobody does.

    He will get into the HoF. Everybody knows that. He didn't get in on his first year of eligibility because he was caught cheating. More than once. That has to have some consequence. I don't feel any sympathy over this. He's going to get in. Let him wait on it. How long has LC waited, and only because he was on a great team?

    At least one difference is that Brady went to Tampa Bay, which had not reached the playoffs in 12 years.
    That team made the playoffs in all 3 years that Brady was with them, and won a SB.

    In the 4 years Belichick didn't have Brady, they had a losing record in 3 of them.
    If BB had even moderate success post-Brady, I'm guessing that the voters would overlooked the cheating and abrasive behavior.

    He is going to get in, most likely next year.
    A lot of whining because it wasn't the first year. (There would also be pearl-clutching if he got in and it wasn't unanimous.)

    He has 8 rings. There isnt anything else to look at. The HOF isnt an ethics committee, it’s to judge a persons career accomplishments. If 8 rings doesn’t automatically get you in, nothing should.

    He can't ever go with the first ballot guys when they meet separately in the first ballot club in NYC or during the Super Bowl.

    You are saying the cheating doesn't matter because he has 8 rings.
