What is up with Tomlin?

Y'all wanted him gone but you can't stop posting about him .

 

His exit was very quick and strange I wouldn’t be surprised if there is more but at this point I haven’t seen anything official. And like others have said he’s gone time to move on of course with the occasional MT joke here and there

 

He left. He no longer has to sit on front of a camera at the direction of the NFL or Steelers. I imagine that he is enjoying that. He will talk or not talk. He does not owe us any explanation no matter how much someone may want it.

 

Ronde Barber said it was planned but who knows.

 

It does no good to spread rumors when nobody credible has reported on anything.

Yea I certainly think he made up his mind well before the Texans game. It’s just strange no press conference to say goodbye with Art. He was HC 19 years. Maybe he was pissed that the city turned on him.

 

why are we concerned about a guy that we wanted to leave.

 

It’s just an odd quick disappearing act. Noll and Cowher both had goodbye press conferences but like you said we wanted him gone. I was hoping for one more Tomlinism on the way out!!

 

It's good that Tomlin is gone. Time to move on but if we have something credible from a reliable source I'm all ears.

No more Tomlin stuck with the name Dionte Johnson Baller I think I’m going to have to become a Jehovah witness or something now in my spare time.

 

First, Jason Whitlock is a racist and self hating POS. Anyone who uses him as a source is a joke.

Second, Joel is a bit…special.

 

I understand its personal family -reasons. It is Weird that he didnt give a press conference but anything else is just speculation at this point.

simple answer, i think he was just burnt out and tired.

 

I knew he was near the end when we signed AR. Thats a last gasp hail mary at a playoff run if i ever saw one.

 

And Art wants to run it back! McCarthy absolutely wants AR back he said who wouldn’t!!! You can’t make this **** up.

 

guys... i know what's up... he was so upset to now rank up there with marvin lewis that he had to step down and is afraid to show his face in public now. that or he is now going to be a body double for omar epps...

at least that is the best i can figure...lol

 

Art seems too obsessed with the bottom line, he has no vision.

It feels like he just wants the team to be relevant and not let the bottom fall out. The problem is we are not relevant anymore to most of the league. We are not the Browns but we are not a contender. It’s a terrible predicament and one I don’t think we get out of until Art is gone. In his mind we are close every year it’s bananas.

Since it's not been mentioned here, I came across these on twitter a while ago which may explain some things:

 

Yup, we are probably going to need to get a pic in the first 10 rounds to get our Qb. Were not bad enough for that so we need to trade at least 2 of our first rounds picks to move up. Has to happen this or next year.

renting these over the hill former star Qb’s hasnt worked out, they are not nearly as good as they once were, are inconsistent at best, they tend to get worse as the season goes on and at the end of the season you have to look for a new Qb all over again. Kind of a desperate attempt to stay relevant.
