A bunch of my friends acquired a private box at 3 Rivers between home plate and third. There was a ledge outside the box about 18” wide. My buddy suggested we might be able to walk all the way around the stadium on this ledge without anyone noticing. Falling off we probably would have been killed and naturally to have a thought of this significance required alcohol. There is a section right of center field where the boxes ended and we had to step down to walk across to continue our journey on the 18” ledge. As we were about to step up a beet red man in the box above told us he was the head of security and that we were under arrest. We naturally told him to go **** himself and then when we realized he might be serious we walked up through the seats and walked into a men’s room. Our friends and wives were watching all of this. Apparently after we walked into the men’s room a bunch of security and police showed up looking for us, looked left and right and went in search of us. Then two drunk idiots not knowing any better walked out of the men’s room got two beers and walked back to the box.

My buddies wife was not as congenial but my wife only said “The next time you do something that stupid leave me the car keys”.

And we have been married a long time.

    Go Yinz Stillers n’ at

I’ve seen that statement, but I’ve never seen anything about their contracts being terminated yet.

    Symantics

When your boss tells you to feel free to look for another job it’s not encouraging

With that said in order not to have mayhem I suspect some underling coaches may survive

Seriously thinking of driving to Bradenton for a spring training game
Did it a couple of years ago with my niece

technically he's still under contract as the Steelers DC. For all we know McCarthy could retain him

Perhaps, or not formally terminating contracts could be about money. Our assistants who take new jobs don’t have to be paid by the Steelers. If we fire them, we may owe them the balance of their contract dollars. I don’t know how far down the food chain those guarantees go, but I know from past situations that they have applied to coordinator contracts.

Fortunately Austin’s contract expired, so that’s not an issue, and Smith is taking the Rodney Dangerfield route. I really have no idea if position coaches or other assistants have guaranteed salaries.

McCarthy isn’t keeping Austin. I doubt anyone returns.

If they want another job Art isn't going to stand in their way, Arthur Smith had another year on his deal and he got another job already.

Possible. I thought he had a good shot of returning if they went with Shula, they coached together.

The other guy who has a shot is Faulkner.

But I think Mike has his own people.

Rams fans killing Shula. Wonder if his stock drops at all. Still 4 HC openings. Have to imagine someone hires him. Or maybe he elects to stay with the Rams. Teams available arent great jobs except the Bills and they will probably want someone with more experience to get Allen a ring.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if these idiots bring back Butler. It's a complete **** show in Pittsburgh.
