Adam Thielen suggests that players weren’t as sad to see Tomlin go as the media portrayed.

The receiver did not outright say that the reported drama of the ordeal did not take place, but he certainly did not see it.

“Again, there’s a lot of different points of view, right?” Thielen said. “Some guys maybe stayed after, I’m not sure. But I didn’t necessarily see a lot of (crying).

“It is interesting nowadays, you don’t know what to believe.”

I am sure there were a variety of reactions. A lot suprised, many sad, some didnt care and a few were glad.

You cant expect someone like Thielen who was there for only a couple of months to get choked up about it.

Yeah but this isn’t about whether or not Thielen got choked up about it. He never said one way or another whether he did or didn’t. He was in the locker room. This is about him saying that he didn’t see anyone else crying despite the media portraying this alternate reality.

Why would the media have to embellish how the team felt about the departure of a “first ballot HOF coach, who never had a losing season, and who would have been scooped up in a second by many teams” had he chosen not to walk away?

    Board management,

If someone (who was present in the locker room) disputes the media’s version of events regarding Tomlin’s departure, is that the same as an inarticulate and rogue member of a forum committing libel and defamation against another member on a public forum?

Can someone link me to the forum rules? I’m just curious if name-calling against another member is a violation?

    Thanks in advance.

    Reported for name calling.

Board management, if this isn’t a violation of forum rules, please let me know so I can don’t continue to report duh1856 for namecalling and stalking.

Much like Aerosteel, your post is missing the mark. Thielen never claimed that he knew what anyone was “feeling”. He simply stated that he didn’t SEE all this crying that the media claimed, despite being in the locker room when it happened.

If he was present for this announcement and he didn’t witness what the media claimed, why is it wrong of him to express this?

No Your post is off the mark by thinking wait the rest of the team feels, and shows in front of a guy that has only been there 7 weeks. You do know these guy get together outside of the locker room.

There were quite a few players who were upset when Tony Dungy was fired from Tampa Bay. Only after they won the Super Bowl with Gruden did some come out and say the offense was not held as accountable as the defense. Then again, the genius mind of Warren Sapp, hindsight is always 20/20.

Oh, I see. So since he was only part of the locker room for 7 weeks, he wouldn’t be qualified to say whether or not he saw another teammate’s tears. That makes sense. Thanks for clarifying.

That last word, I'm very sure You are familiar with. LoL.
Again for the slow. A guy that has been with the team very long is not invited to everything that the other guys do. They see each other in a locker room, and since it wasn't announced in the locker room but later, how would he know???
I know it's hard, but use a bit of common sense.
