    1. TOMLIN -flat and uninspired are becoming the hallmarks of his coaching career.
    2. Coach Danny Smith - special teams play was absolutely atrocious, aka normal in Pittsburgh.
    3. Jonathan Dwyer - here's your shot pal. You blew it last night.
    4. Barron Batch - just don't think you're ready for prime time, son. Saw you whiff on a pass in last year's pre-season and this year you tackle your QB for a safety and mistake 300 pound offensive linemen for holes.
    5. Jason Worilds - bonehead comes to mind.

Dishonorable mention -Troy, Gay, Gilbert, Adams

    Topic said dog house?

Ok fine, you and scruffy for starting this thread :lolol:

No ones in my "dog house", it was one preseason game. Dywer, Landry, Worilds need to pick it up and ok, if you want a dog house candidate, Batch, I think he should be the rb that gets shown the door.

Special teams coach - awful first impression - needs to get better immediately
Dwyer - another performance like that he is gone
Worilds - better get his head on straight or he won't be around much past this year
Gilreath - ready to cut ties with him right now - liked Dunn's decision making a lot better.
3rd string OL men - had a tough time moving the Giants 4th string front 4.

Just a thought, did the special teams coach call a stupid play? Or, are we simply upset with the execution of the plays he called? I'm guessing he told his players to leave before the punt so we could punt again, yada, yada, yada.

    1. William Gay (frankly I'm surprised no one else put him in their 5.
    2. Batch, my guess is Charlie could have run as well...the fact that he was running behind an inexperienced line is understood, but sow were the defenders they were going against.
    3. Worilds - not for his play, but his lack of discipline.
    4. Golden - hands like Ike
    5. Todd Haley - didn't like the play calling, understand it was vanilla, but still.

Actually, I thought Golden played well, except for the drop for which I know he feels worse about it than we do.

Who isn't would be a less painful post.

    Batch still here?

Seems only yesterday, peeked into a thread and asked, "Good gad, Is he gone yet?" I was reassured by some kind soul that, indeed, it was over and he was gone.

    Well, he's back..................William Frick'n Gay!

to batch's and dwyers defense. the backup line play was was bad, but they were trying different combo's on the interior too. AP wouldn't have gone anywhere behind that.

it didn't even resemble the ZBS that the starters were running. each guy had a hat on a player and then they sent another guy through. there was no switching off, but again they are not getting the reps like the starters this year since the starters are so young. they may have only touched on some of these things as they learn the system.

we have a mix of guys that have run it and a mix of guys that haven't so far. baby steps.

    doghouse:

danny smith.... it would be different if it was just one play but it kept going on and on and on................
    gilreath...... c'mon man..........
cam heyward....... cam still not using his hands well to get off blocks. they still are giving him that extra tug that keeps him from making tackles.......
butler.......you have to punt with a little more urgency...........
wheaton........ he's fast but has to learn to be fast and under control. he took sly out because of that. he's out there running at top speed about half out of control like rainey used to do and it only takes a bump from a guy to send him flying out of control through the air. don't be this years marcus gilbert. besides that he's gonna be a good one.

Danny Smith- have we been practicing anything coach?
David Gilreath- like mac said, c'mon man..
    William Gay- I smell toast..
Antonio Brown- get your frickin feet down, learn from JD Woods.. good grief.
Coach T- we're going to try to make them jump offside in the preseason instead of running a play on 4th down when the O-line is blocking that well? REALLY??? That was weak!

I don't know about this. It seems a little early to be putting people in the doghouse but I would have to say that I'm not pleased with

    1. Special Teams
    2. Mike Tomlin- I just really wish that he could get us out of the gate with some fire. (Remember when we got THUMPED by the Rats week one???)
    3. Big Play Willy Gay - Victor Cruz probably give him a cut of his mega deal that he just signed for making him look so good and if he didn't he should. LOL.
    4. Jonathan Dwyer
    5. Batch

to late for a long reply....but Baron Batch is not in my dog house....L Bell is though....No I don't want him to injure himself...but young man...you need the live reps...get out there (yes I know most likely coaches call)

Worilds...you alone gave up 30 yards on a drive...that sir is unacceptable.

Landry Jones???? You are not in my dog house as much as the FO is for drafting you....I hope I am wrong about you...but you are my #4 at best...and only because you are a draft pick...there are a handful of guys on the street that I would take over you today.....lets hope just game jitters...but from camp reports....thats not it either.

and all Offensive lineman after the top 6...No depth on that line...None zero...ziltch....they can overcome 1 injury at most...after that...it will be a free for all

    HACK

I'm sorry, but I couldn't resist ... Landry Jones and Batch didn't play until the 3rd quarter.

I originally had AB listed too. it's like he's forgotten how to do the small stuff that made him good. I am concerned about him a little. maybe sanders gets a new contract and wheaton and sanders become the 1-2 and AB goes to the slot. that is where he's at his best I've always thought. it's time for him to pick up his game if he's going to be the top dog.

And besides, we do actually have to run a few plays on 4th and short to make teams jump offside... was it ever in doubt they were going to let the clock run out?
