    steelers havent hired a retread coach since 1957. I guess it was time to try again. :rolleyes:

    This seems... plausible. Art wanted Tomlin and the fans didn't, so he goes out and hires Temu Tomlin... yikes.

    And maybe but seems extreme LOL he loves Tomlin that much to tank his franchise!?

    I hope they’re just testing the waters and abort this terrible plan.

    The only way I can get behind a hiring of McCarthy is if we bring in a young PGC that we think we want as the HC in a few years. Learn for 3-5 years under a HC, help build the team, and take over when McCarthy's contract expires. This is the only way that this hire can be viewed as acceptable. Scheelhaase and Webb are the two options I would look at.

    Seems like hes a short term hire, which is just strange since there were a few good younger longer term hires available

    Maybe Shula behind the scenes said he didn't want the next interview. Or did he even have a chance?
