would love coogan as a guard with center capabilities.

nwankpa i do like but want to throw out a bud clark TCU at safety too.

tiernan is also one i like as well.

i agree on many of these but still want sonny styles if we can get him.

was reading this today about this weak draft class. only 9 players have been given a first round grade.

styles is very good but a lot of his game will need to be refined. speed and size are there but he will need coached and some teams may shy away from that. i don't think he is out of the possibility if they do want to move up some for him. just depends who the staff is and what they want to do. if they indeed do trade or cut queen and i have seen write ups about moving DK as well, it could change what position and who they go after. i really want coogan for that LG spot. these first round slots are not as cut and dry as they look right now. many guys will still move around before this draft and the steelers needs could easily change. this will be an interesting year.

I personally don't see Coogan switching to guard..... this kid has a couple of pro bowls waiting for him at C, but obviously, we already have that covered....
I've seen a few mocks out there that have Vega Loane falling as far as 23.... if loane is there at 21 I'd be highly upset if we pass on him

Yes, but did he transfer in order to play C, or was he moved after the transfer....if it's the former, then he probably wouldn't want to go back to G.........lot of variables to consider here

I found this an interesting read on the Rams GM Les Snead. This was during the Rams 'trade for picks' era when the won the first SB with McVay.
Kahn has accumulated a bunch of mid-round picks so maybe there is some method to his madness?

"The group believed it could leverage the earlier than expected success into a daring team-building strategy. If winning as much as they were meant drafting later in the first round — and Snead saw little difference between late first-round picks and early second-round picks — why not trade those picks for proven stars who could take an already competitive team a step further toward real contention? Other teams held tightly to their draft picks, and the Rams believed they’d be more likely to give up their best players than future capital.
Over those seasons, the wire the Rams walked got thinner. To supplement a lack of young blue-chip talent coming into the roster each year via the draft, they
needed to nail their middle-round picks and trade back in the draft to acquire as many as possible. Snead and his scouts, and McVay and his assistants, honed their evaluation and coaching processes to try to maximize what they called a player’s “superpower.” A third-round pick didn’t need to be a star, or even a complete player. He just needed to do one or two things very well in complement of the stars, and he had to have the football IQ to keep up with them."

i think you need to include chase roberts fron BYU as one of the sleeper WR's. i think this kid will become a very good pro. very good route runner and has size. seems very smart in his play.

DEEP sleeper pick here. Kaden Wetjen, WR, Iowa. He just won the Jet award as the best returner in the country back to back years and had 3 PR TDs and 1 KR TD in 2025. On offense he only had 20 catches for 151 yds and 1 TD in 2025 plus 2 rushing TDs. I noticed him by watching WR vs DB 1v1’s on YouTube. Watch this video and look for the 3 plays with #21 for Iowa. Watch the quickness and speed off the snap, and the separation he gets. It just looks different from anyone else in the video. I have no idea who he was going up against, but there’s something there to work with as a primary return specialist and 5th WR (or 6th if we dedicate the roster spot for a return specialist how excels at both kick and punt returns).
