It was a matter of time before Steelers lose him. If Steelers lose him, it could be trouble for our drafts and talent acquisition.

Let me know if I am wrong about Brian Flores so far being the 1st in-person interview that the Steelers have had.

Forget all these Virtual Interviews; I would assume they are not going to offer anyone a job until they step foot in the building.

Anyone tracking the In-Person interviews; last time I check only Brian Flores has made his way to Pittsburgh as of Tuesday.

 

A little surprised McCarthy is on the list of candidates. Doesn't fit the profile, i.e. much too old for Steelers HC. I wonder if this is a courtesy interview because he is a Pittsburgh native?

 

They can't hire anybody right now because they haven't done all the in-person interviews yet.

They have to do two in person minority interviews before making a hire, so far they have only done one in Flores with Weaver coming in on Friday.

We do not have a QB1. We have a backup Mason Rudolph and a 6th round rookie prospect QB Will Howard. I think the new HC needs to be someone that can find and develop the Steelers next franchise QB. For those saying they want to see what WH has to offer at QB, I say fine, let's find out. I also want to have a coach here that can get the most from Howard, and IF Howard is not the guy, can find and develop the guy.


McCarthy is not a bad selection for that job. I'm not saying he's the best option, but he is a valid option.
