Don’t love this. I get why you’d want to at least talk to him. I still greatly prefer a coach with 0 HC experience

Look for Alabama sending every Brinks truck ever made next year, if DeBoar flames out again, to Indiana. There’s no way the greatest college football program ever will continue their path with someone like Cignetti out there.

I would prefer not to see McCarthy as a Head Coach here.
It is a lot different situation here than Dallas but still, I think not.

Jesse Minter seems to be a favorite of some..
I'm kind of looking at Shula at the moment.
I still don't think they'll settle till Post Super Bowl.

I feel like the trickiest hires are OC and DC.
I heard Washington is looking at Teryl Austin... sucks to be them

As an example of what not to do?

Minter isn't getting much mention here but I like him, too.

Mike McCarthy is a great coach and he could get our offense on track.

He won't be here for 20 years, but I think he would leave the Steelers a better team than when he leaves.

It is amazing what he was able to do given who owns Dallas. He has had success everywhere he has gone.

I got to be honest, all the non-previous-headcoaches out there, they are great football minds, but I don't know how they would do leading a lockeroom... unlike the feeling I got from Cowher and Tomlin when they were first hired, they stood out from day 1.

I’d rather that than McCarthy. He’s such a fraud

Yeah, Washington needs to stay far and away from Austin. He's not a Dan Quinn type.

Pittsburgh does like Minter but I have no feeling he's the next hire.
My gut feeling is they will mull it over till after the Super Bowl.
It's always really tough to get inside info out of Pittsburgh.

The best info for me was that the current coaching staff was told to interview elsewhere.
