I hadn't heard this, but I don't think it matters one way or another considering he's not the Steelers coach.

I will say that the only person I've ever met that has known Tomlin (taken with a grain of salt because I don't know this person well at all) said that he didn't like Tomlin for reasons similar to this. He was an offensive player and someone I've only ever been around a few times, so I don't know how trustworthy he is... but I asked him about Tomlin since I was a Steeler fan and he played for him, and he said he didn't like him because MT talked about accountability and all that but Mike was sleeping with the female staff despite having a wife and young kids.

I hope it is true. The alleged "details" are wild and juicy. It would be the most plausible explanation for all of this and especially the ending. Mr. stand up guy. No presser. Art referencing family as part of the "decision." It all stinks. Can you imagine Art carrying this load for god knows how long.

I also seen rumors that the Steelers pay homeless people $25 an hour to clean the stadium and that Tomlin found a white baby on the highway and paid for it's care for the first 18 years. Of course both had AI images along with the post.

Sad thing is people from back home STILL shared these post. It's crazy what people will believe because its on social media.

 

Why hope its true? That would be awful for his wife and children. Tomlin isn't our coach anymore, so I could care less about his personal life anymore.

 

Until there's actual proof of anything there's no need for apologists.

The AI thing is going to be really difficult for people over a certain age. People 35 and under will have a much easier time deciphering what is AI and what isn't. They're getting realistic enough to fool people who aren't super technologically literate. Shoot, even some people that are can be fooled if they don't do research on it. It sucks because it means that there is a shot that anything and everything is faked, but it could be a good thing to force people into researching everything at the risk of being made a fool by AI.

We should all care if it was a major distraction off the field for over 9 months. I am sure Rooney cared if true and known.

I'd care if he was still our coach, but he isn't. What is the point of caring about this now? Especially since there is no evidence that this whole rumor is true yet.... I certainly don't "hope" that this is the case for him and his family. It is bad for everyone involved. I generally don't find myself rooting for real life bad sh*t in someone else's life because I didn't like how he coached during the end of his tenure.
