Could LeVeon Bell and Jarvis Jones be the most NFL ready rookies the Steelers have had in the last decade? I realize that only time will tell, but the early returns are promising.

How about a clean sweep on Offensive and Defensive ROY honors? Maybe not far fetched?

What other Steeler rookies seemed NFL ready and how did their careers turn out? Thoughts?

I think it's kinda hard to answer this question because we never seem to REALLY see what a guy can do until he's been around for a while. I guess I would have to say Ben since he was the first qb to ever win rookie of the year.

:lolol: True, but you know yourself, BF, that some questions are simply worthy of their own post. ;)

I agree about Ben, but I don`t know that he came in with such lofty expectations... He was more of a pleasant surprise.
He got thrown into the fire much sooner than expected. We drafted him more on potential, and possible upside, than definitely expecting him to come in and be the savior of the franchise, that he became...
In recent history, the only one that pops into my mind is Pouncey, and how his career turns out is to be determined... lookin good so far...
At the other end of the spectrum is Sweed...
I`m sure there others that escape my mind right now, but in general, ALL our draft picks tend to be "Projects" that get developed on the bench over their 1st few years.
That`s the good thing about having the talent we usually have.
Maybe Woodley/ Timmons would be candidates for this discussion?
    Mendenhall?
Variety of results just in those three cases.
Just seems that we rarely draft someone and EXPECT them to contribute immediateley.
I`m sure there are a handful of others I`m forgetting in the last 10 yrs...
    Edit.... DUH.... HEEEEATH!!!
I would say he has lived up to/exceeded expectations!!!:applaud:
Edit again... the more I think about it, the more names pop into my head... Holmes?
Santonio did some great stuff here, then got basically kicked off the team, and has a nagging foot injury, now...
