People are throwing this around far too much. They've done it twice. A sample size of 2 doesn't prove ****. For all we know the Rooney's strongly preferred experience, but both Cowher and Tomlin blew them away in the interviews.

As a fan, have you ever been blown away by anything that Mike Tomlin has done? If the Rooney’s were blown away, what does that say about the bar that they must have set?

I have no doubt that if I was holding job interviews, Tomlin would interview very well, regardless of what the job was.

As others have said any OC is going to look good with Josh Allen at QB.

I'm really surprised he's not a candidate yet. He's one of the few young offensive minds who calls his own offense.

I was looking up Klint Kubiak… he might be a good one.

He likes running the ball, and he also resurrects Sam Darnolds career.

The Steelers have requested a head coach interview offensive coordinator Kubiak.

i'd love to see us trade for LaFleur - or hire Stefanski.....

PLENTY of talented options out there

I DO NOT TRUST Rooney, but I think Khan can get it right

I may be on an island with this one, but I really like Mike McDaniel. I think Tua's lack of football IQ was the only thing holding his offense back in Miami.

I see the Ravens are interviewing him, and I hope he doesn't end up there.

I'm gonna be disappointed if Steelers hire a DC for HC. This will tell me... "The more things change.... the more things stay the same."

I don't see how the Ravens' heavy gap scheme works with McDaniel's Kubiak based wide zone scheme? And McDaniel is not particularly good at implementing passing plays. The reason Monken ran into trouble was the passing game. Maybe they plan on taking the team in the new direction with Oline and running game.
I can see McDaniel's scheme working with the Steelers because Khan drafts athletic linemen.

Definitely has a great offensive mind, but is he a good leader?
It's so hard to tell because Miami is a mess. The culture there isn't good and hasn't been for a long time, so maybe he actually did a great job holdings things together as well as he did.

    HC Flores.

2 young exciting OC & DC that will maybe one day grow into HC.

    The tree is planted 2026.

I respectfully disagree. His aura was to be one of the guys, IMO.

I didn't like Tomlin from the start. To me, he was just a talker. It's almost like he knew nothing about football.

It would be nice to find a Bill Cowher, but with more flair in the offense. Actually, throw a little Chuck Noll in there as well. I want a coach that is not going to be a buddy.

No idea really. I didn't know when Noll left either. I guess there are some names out there I would be against, but this is more difficult than picking a player. I want a blue collar type coach, but that doesn't mean I want a bland offense. IMO, Tomlin was a horrible choice.

    Who do you want?

The most Bill Cowher type coach out there is Brian Flores and its not even close. But if you want a defensive coach like Cowher with a flair for offense and a keen eye for special teams...well you might as well wish for Santa Claus to exist.
