The most fervent supporters of Tomlin remaining as Steelers' coach assured us he would be hired within minutes of being released by the Steelers. The Giants hired Harbaugh. With so many coaching vacancies, why hasn't any team jumped on acclaimed Hall of Fame shoo-in Mike Tomlin and offered him unlimited power and money? Very weird!

You do realize for Tomlin to coach in 2026 would require that team to send the Steelers compensation, it also has been reported he has no interest in coaching next season. But congrats on your look at me thread .

I was told there would be lines of teams around the stadium just waiting!

In all seriousness likes Rules said I don’t think he wants to coach in 2026 he said he needs a break and God knows so did we.

In all seriousness, I don't think Tomlin will be interested in coaching this year.

Because --- A. He said he wants to take off and B. The Steelers hold his rights and teams don't just give up top draft picks.

He tried to put together the best Team he could for 1 last run , it didn't work out so I am sure he has no interest in Coaching this season or he would just have stayed ...He could get a job if he wanted one..

He would be stupid to. He looks tired and worn down. Having to start from scratch would take 5-10x more work. He would just ruin his HoF resume. Although I’d love to see him go somewhere else at some point and see what happens. See how right I was about his drafting/coaching etc.

Also, I know the Steelers organization is mad they can’t coast this off-season LOL A lot of work ahead!

I think the chances of Tomlin pulling a "Cowher" and loving the NFL analyst job on TV so much he will never return to coaching... is more likely than Tomlin coaching again.

Tomlin would be great at it, too. He would only have to work about 7 months out of the year... and NFL analyst is a much less stressful job than Head Coach of an NFL team.

The same reason I haven't banged Jennifer Anniston yet. There's this thing called consent, and apparently both parties need to agree.

I don't think the Steelers organization coasted last offseason with all the moves they made.

Bringing in a new coach and staff is a lot of work. Something they haven’t had to do for almost 2 decades.

If Tomlin had been on the market, I bet the Giants would've hired him instead of Harbaugh.

So he leaves the Steelers in shambles after taking over a perennial contender. Thanks a lot, Mike!
