This makes me laugh, especially, when I read through how it plays out and see the scores. I mean who enters this stuff and what kind of information is fed into it. Does this machine not understand that we are playing with a chip on our shoulder and are really ticked off coming into the season. That alone should have put us as, atleast, a 2 seed!

I found a couple of things interesting:

    1. They have 3 of the 4 teams from our division making the playoffs. Basically it is our division and then the other division winners so our division makes up HALF of the playoff lineup.

    2. Age. Everyone talks about our age. Funny really. I think it always will be to me. The TEAM right now only has 15 guys 30 years of age and older. 3 of those are special team players with 1 not likely to make the team. Here are the other (12) 30 and over guys:

    OFFENSE:

    Gradkowski - backup
    Miller - STARTER
Whimper - backup if he makes the team
Batiste - Doubt he makes the team
    Cotchery - 3rd or 4th receiver
    Ben - STARTER
Plaxico - 4th or 5th receiver, injury means this team just got younger in Brown or potentially Moye.

    DEFENSE:
    Troy
    Clark
    Foote
    Taylor
    Keisel

So our best asset according to the rankings if our Defense, yet half of that group is part of the aged group the team has...Those guys are all really good at knowing their role in our D. Do I have depth concerns at these positions? Yes, but I'm not worried about their age so much as worried about them staying healthy. You can count on these guys. Keisel for a few sacks and about 40 tackles. Foote to be close to leading the team in tackles. Ike to rarely get thrown on. Troy, again health here, to make splash plays for this D. Clark to make an impact all over the field.

Age? What a load of hogwash.

Interesting stuff. I have a feeling that the Ravens do not make the playoffs this year, and feel fairly certain that the Patriots are going to have a down year - probably still winning their division, but no better than 10-6 and not a 2 seed. The AFC isn't that strong this year.

The Pats will win their division. The AFC East is a complete joke and has been for the past several years. NE has had a cake walk the last two years especially. I think Baltimore will really miss Ray Ray, Reed and the LB they lost as a free agent. I am not convinced the Bengals can keep it together for a full season and the Browns will be better but still are the bottom of the AFC North. I think the Steelers win the division at 11-5 end up the 3 seed and either have to travel to Denver or NE for the AFC Championship game.

13-3, with whomever else coming here to lose the AFCCG. that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

oh, and ben and troy and all the vets stay healthy all year.

I will only believe that prediction if you got it from a magic 8 ball. Otherwise it can't be trusted. LOL.

Well then it is absolutely trustworthy then! You know I remember BobbyBiz predicting that Gradkowski was coming here and he SAID he got that prediction from a friend but now I think we know where it ACTUALLY came from!

IMHO, this is a primary reason why the Pats have not won a Super Bowl since George W. Bush's second inauguration. They have nobody to push them.
