Pro Day times are very difficult to iron down as fact. Multiple scouts have multiple readings; the AI explanation showing this. Be careful when citing them.

    Here you go...

Cooper Kupp's official 40-yard dash time at the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine was 4.62 seconds, with a second run of 4.66 seconds, making him slower than many receivers but known for excellent agility, route running, and production, as highlighted by his strong Senior Bowl and later NFL performance.

He's also primarily a slot WR... Like Amon Ra St. Brown. You can get away with not having the top end speed from that position more easily. I am not sure Boston is the type of WR we want anyways. A really nice possession route runner or a more explosive intermediate specialist with YAC potential would be best imo.

This made me check the official NFL.com combine info to see what Puka ran, because he’s no burner but has been amazing. Their pre draft rating was average backup or special teams player. Oops!

    No official 40 time.

    Yep.

A lot goes into a Wide Receivers ability to create separation. Not always about pure speed, quickness or even both. Good discipline, fundamentals and leverage are just but a handful of qualities needed to do so.

He started out in the NFL as mainly a slot option. In 2025, he became a complete WR; on that is capable of doing it all. As it stands, JSN is a Top 5 WR in all of Football.

This is true. He was mainly slot only, and now is more outside than slot, but still a good bit there. If you're a great route runner and explosive out of your cuts... it matters much less what your top end speed is. AB was always open and he wasn't a 4.4 guy (nor was he tall).

With Dante Moore not entering the draft and with teams like Raiders, Jets, Browns, Dolphins, Cardinals and Rams interested in a QB, there’s going to be a run on 2nd tier guys like Simpson, Nussmeier, Mateee and Beck. At this time, I don’t think any of them are much better than what we have with Howard. Hoping that they will load up at WR, DB and OL. Wait until next year to pick a QB
