When Brian Flores is announced as our new HC who should our offensive and defensive coordinators be?

The idiot owner created drama in Miami. Flores spoke up for himself. Do you want a guy who lays down or a guy who fights as your head coach?

Flores great DC but HC don't think so. Didn't he have problems in Miami as HC and he sued the NFL or the NFL sued him. Also problems on how he treated players.

I think Flores can be a very good head coach in the right situation. In Miami,it was not that bad and their owner wanted the Dolphins to lose all the games in Flores' first season in 2019

Can I circle back to this after I’m done conducting head coach interviews? I’m quite busy at the moment.

I don’t think he has the temperament to be a successful HC. You have to be able to take the bad with the good. Accept criticism, be even keeled and move on. He doesn’t seem to be that guy. Excellent DC, however.

Flores also had to work with a crappy owner it was reported he wanted to tank during a season. Of course, a HC would balk at that.

Any coach stuck with Tua should get a do-over somewhere.

I’m amazed at the amount of love Stefanski gets on this site.

More than likely we hire a young guy no one is familiar with that we can groom into a Steeler HC.

I seriously doubt we hire a guy who wants control on day one. We are going to be frugal unless Rooney totally changed his stripes.

Pete Carroll was a NFL HC that went to college, and came back.

I’ll give you Ditka and Coughlin, although I still think Ditka should have won more with that monster team.

I’ll never be on the Gruden train. If we say Tomlin won with Cowher’s players then we have to say Gruden won with Dungy’s players. Did nothing after that

Im not tho. I just don't consider a coach that coached 15 years in college and 2 years in the NFL as a QB coach as a "NFL experience guy". Nick Saban was a "college guy" but was a secondary coach in Houston right before getting his first college HC gig. He also was a Browns DC... His only NFL HC experience being a failure at Miami.

I certainly hope not. By the way I saw an article where Art Rooney stated we aren’t looking to -remote from within or hire any previous HC’s so that would make your prediction null and void.

He is suing NFL because he thinks NFL only pays lip service to Rooney Rule and don't actually seriously consider the black candidates. In a way I agree with him that Rooney rule is a farce, but does he want a quota system. I want the best candidate hired regardless of the skin color, and fired if they are not doing the job the owner wanted without any skin color consideration. According to him, among other things like coach wanting him to tank to get a better draft pick, Miami's owner discriminated against him based on race, but somehow that wasn't a consideration when he got hired. Too much drama going on there for a .500 coach.

I wouldn't put Harbaugh in the same category as Urban Meyer or Matt Rhule college coaches who failed as NFL coaches.

Well, that lawsuit isn't keeping Flores from getting interviews for HC jobs. I think it has been settled anyway.

Did you contact Art Rooney II to let him know who he is hiring yet?

Well yeah, I think he's one of the college coaches that has been successful. There aren't a ton, but he's a good example.

Passing coordinator to HC is a big jump in pay, responsibility and field of view.

You don't know what you're talking about he's getting interviews because he's a good DC.
