No, because he's the only current coach in our division.

That's only today, until we hire our next great HC for the next 16 years.

Brian Flores is the favorite right now...and funny that Cowher is on this list!

Hard to take this list seriously when they have Vrabel on there.

    Fantastic.

This is his first season. Furthermore, he is going up against the likes of Kyle Shanahan. His Defense isn't a slouch either.

Most of the hot candidates are defensive guys this year:
    Shula
    Flores
    Minter
    Hafley

I would be very surprise if the 49ers beat the seahawks....The 49ers are depleted by injuries, this is a miracle that the 49ers are still alive!

Why is New England's head coach Mike Vrabel on this list at 25 to 1???

Not a miracle. A testament to coaching. One has shown me he has it. The other has yet to. Time to see if Mike MacDonald can break through where so many Defensive Minded Coaches have failed.

I honestly don’t know what type of coach we should look for, I just assume some brilliant offensive coordinator because it is a passing league, but ultimately it needs to be a leader of men for an entire team.

We could get some rah-rah type of guy, but great coaches come in all shapes and sizes. Bill Bellicheat and Chuck Noll were two of the greatest to ever do it, and they were just the opposite.

Do we need a young guy? Just because that is how they did it in the past, doesn’t mean that is what they need to do in the future.

Should whomever they hire just assume they will be here for 20 years just because it’s the “Steeler way?” I would hope not. If they can’t turn it around, I hope they are shown the door.

It’s from a gambling site. Why would anyone take it seriously?

And if Howard turns out to be Mike Tomzcak, I would be fine with that. Mike was a good backup in the NFL.

There’s some dude on the Rams staff that sounds intriguing. He takes the head coaching and offense side.

I really believe Jim Leonard is more than ready to be a highly successful NFL DC. Heck, he might even be able to handle the top job.

Personally, I’d vote for candidates that haven’t been in the position previously. I could be highly biased but I think guys trying to prove themselves rather than retreads make better coaches.

Donny Football broke the biggest news story in Pittsburgh sports from the last 15 years with his announcement on 93.7 that Tomlin had called it quits.
