Joey Porter Jr Appreciation Thread

The one bright spot in last nights game was Joey Porter.

 

i just want him to stop the preening and just do your job and shut your mouth. Always waiting for the taunting flag to come flying. Every play these guys act like they had a defensive TD. Just do your job is it that hard??

 

Agreed.

I do not know how to evaluate this in FAs or draft prospects but it seems it is not solely speed but agility maybe? Whatever it is, the Steelers need a CB that can stay with these quick shifty slot receivers such as Kirk.

 

One time it looked like Porter Jr. was taunting the Texans bench I thought he was going to get a penalty.

 

I say speed but we just need a CB who can run Echols was getting burnt by Kirk.

 

Me too 100%. Had we actually did anything on offense that could have been a game changing penalty.

 

Joey Porter Jr. deserves to be paid like a Top 10 CB since he has played like one. No excuses about it. Pittsburgh doesn't have the leverage required to make him say otherwise.

 

Agreed one great CB isn't enough.

 

Some people are going to hate on Him because they didn't want , or like him from the start, and can't change their mind no matter what, and some people are smart and can let fact change their mind.
I myself will hurt my shoulder, and pat my own back, because I knew he'd be great from the 1st year he played. He only needed experience , in the NFL. I'm proud he's here, and now we need two more.

 

Davidson Igbinosun from Ohio State would be one hell of a pickup by Pittsburgh in Round Three if he is still available. I have him as a Top 50 grade but I do believe that there will be a lot more athletically gifted monsters at EDGE, WR, IOL and IDL that will push him down.

 

I've watched him, but not enough yet to make a true thought on him. I usually take 10, and watch every play they have that season before the draft. Sometimes I'm spot on, and sometimes I $hit the bed on what I think. LoL

 

Man Coverage ass kicker who has both the play demeanor and speed to match. Tall as hell and possesses great arm length. Raw overall in Zone Coverage and overzealous in run support. Needs to improve his ball tracking as well. That said, those flaws are peanuts in comparison to the rest of his skillset.
