And RB Alvester Alexander was signed. I don't get that move at all. McNeal has talent, I figured if Dwyer or Redman or both walk after this year that he'd be good to slide into their spot. It's on the home page if you want to read up on it. We waived DE Cordian Hagans too and signed CB Devin Smith.

Yeah, Labriola said it on Live at 5. He didn't have any details, but said he suspected that he sustained an injury that would likely keep him out for a period of time that would preclude him from making a good enough impression to make the team.

I just read alexander ran a 4.39 at his pro day in 2012. 18 reps. just over 5-10 207. that's around rainey speed with a lot more size. interesting.

Rainey was tops at the combine in all the change of direction drills. Any idea what this guy's numbers are there?

Our new blocking scheme is not conducive to the type of RBs we have except Bell. Redman is a power back with quick feet perfectly fitted for our old system of man on man blocking. Dwyer was even better suited for that scheme and since he's a bit faster has a better chance of success in our new system but heither of these guys are cut back type runners. Batch lacks the vision needed in my opinion.

Hopefully the new kid plays lights out on ST and impresses in the backfield. As much as I like Redman hopefully we can trade him before the season starts.

Any idea as to what McNeal's actual injury was (I never saw any details)?
Also, does Alexander have any practice squad elegibility left?

 I'm pretty sure Redman and Dwyer will both be gone next season. I think Bell and Mcneal can be a powerful 1, 2 punch.

I agree this was actually a silver lining I believe in the long run.
