I kind of get the feeling they are going to have to. Their are a few decent names still out there. Right now we are incredibly thin and have the money to spend. I think Terrence McGee is still out there and while he is older he still could be a viable option. There are others I believe Routt is still out there as well. I just don't see Brown being back in time and who knows what is going on with Allen, Hawthorne, and DVD.

We shall see I guess. But to bring someone in...someone has to be cut....who gets cut? another position? and thin it out there? or what?

Victorian, green, jackson, steed, gay, taylor. we have 6. we have the landshark and cromartie-smith and golden. all 3 of those guys have played some corner in college. we have 5 weeks until our opener.

We've not had a truly great corner since Rod Woodson so I don't think that corner is a position they put a lot of stock in. I've always wanted a corner that would be one of the best in the league like Revis or Sherman or Charles Woodson but they seem to wanna always spend money on linebackers instead. I would be REALLY surprised if they signed a corner.

we have good corners on the #1 defense. why spend the money on a guy that doesn't know our system. from what I've heard about the 2 minute drill against our depleted corner situation was they were near shut down. ben had to throw it away twice in his series because coverage was so tight. that's good news from guys that may not even make the PS. maybe they should.

I really don't think Curtis Brown will be missed much.

I still contend that if your front 7 can produce enough pressure you can do well with average corners. I might add that you need an "all over the place" safety, too! As much as we worry about our corners they have been doing a pretty decent job over the last few years!

Bringing in a UFA corner comes down to health. Ike is good to go. Cortez should be back in time. Gay appears good to go. Brown, DVD, and Hawthorne are all question marks. Victorian is in that 5/6/7 spot, but unless those question marks are not going to be good to go I don't see us bringing someone else in.

No I see it more likely they add an OL before a CB. Personally I think it will be very quiet on the FA front this year, as long as they stay somewhat healthy.

This team has its work cut out for them. I think we have 7 Olineman...maybe 8 if they are confident in Whimper being a role player. That leaves 1 or 2 spots. I don't think they will carry someone just to carry someone, but if the waiver wire presents itself a good opportunity....they will grab him.

smith was one of the leaders of Wisconsin's secondary last year. they were the most thrown against team in the big ten. he's got quick feet. 4.49 40, but a 3.99 in the 3cone drill. that's moving. the honey badger did it in 4.14 if that says anything. oh, and he did 17 reps on the bench. cb/fs/ss. said to be a good zone candidate. had 4 picks last year. that's all I got.

Well that makes me happy. I would just like to have depth on the corners like we do in the front 7. CB is my favorite position though so I'm always pounding the drum for them.
