We are only down 1 point, largely because of Stroud and their game management.

The Steelers halftime adjustments need to be:

1. Decrease targets to Jonnu by 100%

2. Stop living in Tomlin's fears. Throw to the middle. Seam. Slants. Something.

 

Our D is doing what it needs to for the most part, but the Steelers offense needs to help. Somebody needs to make plays on that side of the ball.

 

The zone breaks down if they have time to cross the field

 

Yeah that’s not true. If the secondary and backers were doing their job he wouldn’t have been wide open.

 

Do you mean the RT, or is TJ switching sides. I have seen the RT jump a couple times going against TJ. At least getting called for it one.

 

How about Metcalf blocking there after the TO.......

We were essentially lucky, to be fair. If Stroud threw a clean pass to his wide open receiver, it 100% would have been a TD. In the end Tomlin's misuse of TO was moot, but it shouldn't completely absolve his dumbassery.

Hope Stroud keeps putting it on the ground and missing easy throws.

Hey starting D gave up 7 points. I'm happy. We all knew the Texans D was good. Being down 1 at the half doesn't worry me.

Steelers offense needs to put a drive together. I would love to see them go hurry up and open up the field a little. Hit a couple of decent throws and open up the run.

Stroud is a turnover waiting to happen. Defense may need to put one in the endzone to win.
