I don't think he called them out per say, but butler did say he better watch some film. we rush from different spots all the time to keep the offense guessing. Woodley needs to stay on the field first , then he will get more time rushing. he's a vet and needs to play within the defense they put out there.

whats suprising is how much they don't rush and drop into coverage.

I might be a little hard here, but it just seems like excuse making from woodley at this point... bottom line, if you're rushing the passer, make a play.. if you're in coverage, make a play... same goes for stopping the run, and that just wasn't there from woodley the last 2 seasons.... this may just come down to shut up and play..

I just read Woodley has 4 sacks in the last year and a half. since he first hurt his hamstring chasing down tom brady. he's making how much? I know it would cost us more to let him go. a little less next year but we have colons money to deal with. two guys I think got paid way too much at the time. it is what it is though. we still need a healthy and productive guy for that kind of jack.

your right b&gp it's time to play. if he and worilds can't stay on the field, it's time to find a couple that can. now I will say he was in coverage late last year a lot more then I've seen him in the past. i mentioned that in the offseason. of course our ilb'ers were making alot of noise rushing the passer too.

I still wonder about keisel slimming down. he wasn't real overly big to start with. could we maybe see some packages with him back outside allowing cam to play more? they've done some of that before, even with keisel having to go in coverage.

bottom line, some lb'ers have to step it up. Woodley has to keep his weight in check to even be able to rush and cover. he has to get on the field and stay there.

worilds the same way. if he's not it, then we are going to limit ourselves until jones learns what he's doing besides just rushing the passer.

this thread has gotten a little off topic, but it's a good discussion. at least until we see more this year.

Honestly, I think a lot of these guys make too many excuses for why they didn't do what they are capable of. I often wonder what a guy like Lambert would have to say to these guys when hears their excuses. Here I go again being a member of the "old school" club...my apologies! I can't help it. I loved watching those old boys run around missing teeth, arms, legs, heads etc. and they still played, sometimes better because they were pissed someone made them lose their limb!

now the toughness is hit and miss amongst players. back in the day they were all tough. even the kickers. has anyone seen anything like gerela's gorilla's since for a kicker? lamberts lunatic's? franco's Italian army?

now we have suishams sushi. foote's foot massage. dwyer's weight watcher club. just not the same.:lolol:
