Missing FGs & PATs

    Wow, I have seen more missed FGs & PATs lately. I wonder how this year matches up statistically?

    Kickers or equipment managers are doing something to the balls to get more yardage due to the rule change? It could something as simple as kicking the crap out of the same basket of balls or using a baseball bat to soften them up.

    All I know is some of the balls are spinning like they are out of balance and curving wide.

    Loop said he mi**** the ball ("hit it thin"), causing it to spin fast and go off the right.

    I think the PAT miss rate is 4-6% since the longer kicks were implemented. So 1 out of 20 PAT is expected to miss.
