Tom Pellisero, on Rich Eisen, went a step further and said if he showed you 4 blind resumes you'd get the same coach when comparing the resumes of Tomlin, McCarthy, Harbaugh and Peyton.

I did state in a thread he would be done this year but what do I know. It is very clear, looking at the immediate Harbaugh outcome, Tomlin would get every bit of attention if not more.

My opinion very embarrassing for the Ravens.

When your $80M MVP franchise QB doesn't get along with your HC, you get rid of your HC.

“I just try to capture the nail in the process”. Can anyone explain what that even means? Coach Cliche never seems to run out of different sayings.

The only thing is he isn't paid just like an an above average worker and the expectation is far greater. I used to tell my team, "our company is like the NY Yankees, we are not looking to be just good, our CEO expects that we are #1 so this place is not for everyone and that's ok, just be honest with yourself. We expect and demand that we will not just meet our plan we will exceed it and that is that is where the bar is set and it starts with me and extends to every single employee of our team". This should apply to Tomlin and with that bar he has vastly underachieved based on the talent he had over his tenure.

No he's getting paid like other HCs, and not even the highest.

Payton had multiple losing seasons with a franchise quarterback.

Bro he was top 5 if not top 3 as of last year I believe so that's the point I was making he's paid for better than his results in my book but my book means nohing if the owner is happy which seemingly he is so this is all forum banter. Also an awesome run on sentence LOL

I'm just equating being paid for a playoff wins and ultimately championships. I think that is the expectation, so again i think, which is just my opinion, that he achieved far less than what he should have with the talent he had on the team over his career.

So no answer for what I ask??
You do know You must win regular season games to do any of the rest. You can't skip that.

Dungy was dismayed and upset at Harbaugh being fired so Im not going to put too much stock in his opinion of Tomlins job safety.

An embarrassing performance against Houston, say another 21 point deficit and who knows what Rooney may do.

Ugh, that would be so deflating if they lose.

If they win hes definitely getting one. Assuming he wants to stay.

I'm assuming you know the answer and assume its worse but to me that isn't even the point. I guess I'm a broken record, if I am the owner I'm paying you a top 3 or 5 salary as the HC of the Steelers and our expectation is higher than almost every other team, I want championships and deep playoff runs when I arm you with the talent we did. That's my point. So HC never being fired for not having a losing season and two super bowl appearances is irrelevant to what I expect from him over his time here. We agree to disagree on that point I guess which is fine, just giving my opinion not to change your mind but to give a perspective I think many have regarding his tenure here. Regular season wins/non losing seasons are table stakes here imo.

It shows you hard it is to win a Super Bowl.

Except out of them all, only one has been to two SBs.

Ok here is the point I'm trying to make.
What good does winning a playoff game do, if you don't make the SB, and then you suck for years in between. Because I can point to many examples of teams that have won a playoff game since us, but has not made it to the SB, and has had many losing seasons in between.
Like I said before.....talking to Steelers fans about losing seasons , is like talking to rich people about money.
Half the Steelers fans that say they rather have a few losing seasons, have never even seen a losing season, or can't remember what they are like having no hope to even make a playoff, let alone winning a playoff game. It's like a rich person try to tell people money doesn't mean anything.
