I think this stinks

As much aim happyabout our win I don't like a Monday night game. Gives the winner a disadvantage going into the next playoff game. Just my opinion

 

Very true. I'm hoping for the win but I can see the NFL giving us a Saturday game after the the Monday game just because they can

at this point i just want one playoff win to finally breakout of this groundhog days loop.

so giving up an extra day on a monday helps that I would think.

 

The other side of the coin is we get extra rest after playing on a Sunday night in our quest to finally win ONE stinking playoff game.

 

At least it isn’t on Peacock or Netflix this time.

It’s on ESPN, but also on ABC so I can watch the game and don’t have to go to some dodgy bar.

 

Game should start no later than 7:20PM. I hate when they don’t end til around midnight. Makes for a long work day the next morning.

 

Then we'll pretty much have another night game in February for us East Coasters.

My dream SB would be us beating Eagles. Only came close to that happening once I think. The year we beat Ravens and Cardinals beat Eagles. There were 25-30 of us together for both games. We actually hate the Eagles but were rooting for them cause we so wanted to kick their ass in SB. That season we beat the Ravens 3 times.

 

Same. That will complete a successful season imo. Playoff win on Steelers record breaking non losing season lol.

If they happen to win vs Texans.... that's only 4 days to prepare for divisional. And of course, Steelers will get the Saturday game. It's a given.

 

Steelers have not lost at home on a Monday night since Chuck Noll was coach in 1991. Better on a Monday than a Thursday for sure.

 

They helped the Steelers out since they were the last playoff team to play on Sunday, now they get an extra day before their game.

If we win Monday Night i think we go to Foxboro the following weekend. (Think Bills beat jax and go to Denver).

Time for redemption. Will be a short week but has to be exciting for the historic significants.

 

I don't think they will. Just like the late Sunday game is going to get the Monday night playoff game. Last year Minnesota played late Sunday, Rams won against them on Monday, and had the early Sunday game. Previous year Bills won Sunday night, Bills and Buccaneers won Monday night, and they both lost the following Sunday. Year before neither team made the playoffs.
2021 the Raiders won on Sunday night (the game where if they tied, the Steelers were out of the playoffs) and then got the early game on Saturday. Of course Raiders/Bengals is not exactly a Monday night marquee matchup.

 

Yeah, I can't even watch it now. I get up at 3:30 am. I'm in bed by 8. And there's no avoiding spoilers the next day.

I agree that Monday night playoff games kind of suck.

But I suppose the same is mostly true for Saturday / Sunday games too.

My guess is that it won't really affect us though. While we're the 4th seed, I think we're the worst team in the playoffs (on the AFC side at least).
