Willis has looked terrific with the Packers. He is throwing the ball well but can still kill you with his legs. He is exactly the type of QB they would like to have operating the offense.

I could see Willis being a serious target this offseason based on the type of quarterbacks they have seemed to show interest in.

Upon further review, this one has a question mark. So, it's legit. Plus it was started first.

Sometimes it's the right mix of wrong parts that makes the best combination. Who knows, a malcontent like Metcalf, a wildcard like Roman, add in Mt. Washington and ourRB room with Malik Willis.... could be magical. Could also be a big fat sh**burger. No risk it, no biscuit.

You can turn that logic around to support the idea.

Look what this offensive staff did with Justin Fields. Something no other NFL coaching staff has ever done - they made him look competent to dangerous as an NFL starter.

Now....you can take a similar raw QB prospect in Willis that has arguably looked better than Fields ever had prior to being a Steeler.

Maybe they do similar with Willis and he takes another developmental step?

If they are going to do it that way, do it cheaper, and get Taylen Green in a later round, He has a bigger arm, is faster, and way bigger, and would be way cheaper.

    Stop being a hater :lolol:

He threw for 288 yards, a TD and ran for 2 more. Those are legit QB numbers. When he came in for Love the prior game he also looked sharp.

If a guy shows progress he deserves his due and Willis has done that and hes a very good teammate with a good attitude on top of that. Guarantee you he never would have reacted to being benched the way Pickett did, the kid really seems to have a good head on his shoulders. With a fantastic arm I might add.

I dunno. I have never heard of Taylen Green.

Also, whoever Green is, he has never done it in an NFL stadium to borrow a phrase...Willis has. That costs a premium.

I dont hide from that, I emphatically stated he would need to be developed and now hes playing good ball.

Cant do it huh, cant give him credit :lolol:

As long as we are doing this again though, tell me again how you said a running QB wouldnt win a SB??? Or about how Lamar Jackson and the Ravens wouldn’t beat us only to lose to them twice to end the season and WC.

Wow one Qb in the history of the NFL, and Your bragging. LoL.
And Lamar, He has as many MVPs as playoff wins, and more than SB appearances.
Like I said If the Steelers want to go that way with a running Qb, safe money, and draft Taylen Green. He's bigger, faster, has a bigger arm, played against more competition, and will be way way way cheaper for 4 whole years.

Do You know who I'm talking about @Blast Furnace@Blast Furnace ?
I figured he'd be right up Your alley. We can probably get him in the 3rd round.

I don't mean to put words in Blast's mouth, but I think what Blast is trying to say is that Malik Willis has already gone through the developmental stage and is showing signs that the light is now on and he is starting to show that he can ball a bit.

Drafting Taylen Green may be a lot cheaper, but chances are he is going to need a ton of learning and developing to do at the NFL level. The team that gets him on his second contract may be the team that actually gets something out of him. Just like Willis.

I'm fine if the team falls in love with a college QB and drafts him and goes into full development mode with them. But if they are looking to get a guy that they aren't going to have to pay $40 million a year and have a chance to come right in and play in an offense that would benefit greatly from an athletic quarterback IF, and I repeat, IF he shows he is making pre-snap reads, going through progressions, throwing the ball accurately, and using great judgement on when to run with the ball.
