Apathy has taken over

In talking to most my family and friends most don’t even care about a game for the Division Sunday Night. Tickets can’t even be sold for 90 dollars a seat. AR congrats you have defeated Steeler Nation nobody cares any more.

 

I don't know how many are in your family but, I wouldn't call "Steeler nation" defeated because your 2 friends don't care!

 

You excited for the game? We just scored 6 points on the Browns and have a 42 year old QB. Tomlin hasn’t won a playoff game in 9 years. Must have some good stuff out West.

 

I'm looking forward to this game. Beating the Ravens never gets old.

 

I did think we had 0% chance of beating Baltimore in the game after Buffalo. We did have DK that game though we can’t move the ball with 0 worthy NFL receivers and a 42 year old QB throwing the ball in 1.3 seconds.

 

We do. It's called a sense of worth that doesn't hinge on how my football team plays.
Of course I'm excited to actually see a game this season though, I'm of the belief that the NFL "helps" the outcome of games to get the max drama.

 

Do you hang with AR in caves too? Scripted outcomes like a soap opera to Maximize entertainment value. Maybe.

 

Not a lot of caves in San Diego. To my knowledge, Aaron hasn't been here. Polamalu lives here though!

I'll be watching. IDK why, but I feel like the Steelers win this game.

 

It would be classic Tomlin to somehow win this game with the odds against them. Then get boat raced 34-17 in the WC game. I just don’t see how we move the ball with this joke of a WR corps. Why wouldn’t Baltimore go press man 7 in the box?

 

In fairness, I don’t think ticket availability or price is an indicator of fans faith in the team.

The game follows the holidays, is on a Sunday night, and it’s supposed to be below 20 (counting wind chill).

I live 3 hours away and was offered free tickets to go with my friends. I can’t take off any more work because of the holidays, otherwise I would have gone.

 

I understand what you’re saying but if people actually thought the Steelers were good they would go. If both these teams were 12-4 fighting for a high seed in the playoffs people would figure it out.

 

I’ll give you that - no one expects either team to go to the Super Bowl. Whoever gets in probably loses in the first or second round of the playoffs.

For what it’s worth, I do kind of like having Houston travel to the Northeast to play an away game (it’ll be cold in either Pittsburgh or Baltimore).

 

Houston feels like a team that can travel because of that Defense though. If Baltimore beats us watch CJ Stroud turn into a pumpkin and score 10 points or something in Baltimore. I think Houston can go to the SB but CJ scares me.

 

As long as the steelers are alive there is hope. But will say that Browns loss was demoralizing. Its a reminder not to expect consistency from this team. However, I’d buy tickets if i was in the area.

Apathy hasn't set in. There wouldn't be the potential of Fire Tomlin or Sell the Team chants if it has. Those chants signal people care, which is the opposite of apathy.

 

Sadly that is the sentiment within my family. Even have a couple traitors as they put big money on the Ravens.

This is not a SB team and the idea that we'd be happy because we won a Playoff game (if we got there) then get thumped in round 2 is pretty meaningless.

 

I made a post earlier on this topic. Anger has turned into apathy. Art Rooney II must act. Coaching salaries do not count against the cap. Do what is best for your team.

 

This team has done more than I expected.

I think there was a poll somewhere. Most didn't see past .500 with this team.

I'm excited about the game. Changing coaches doesn't miraculously produce superbowls.

 

If I was in in the burgh I would have gone only to sing a fire Tomlin chant

 

Home game against a hated rival who they can knock out of the playoffs while also getting themselves in? If that doesn't excite you as a fan, you HAVE reached apathy. You might be ready for the ole Ross and Rachel break.
